Really like the blue/black/white/grey design you created.

I was rather relieved when we got to the end of the film as I was worried about the old boy doing the interview. I'm aiming to build a Dakota Hawk starting this year so this was really interesting for me. Thank you.

I just started building mine this summer... you can track my progress on my youtube channel. I'm building from scratch and there is a lot of head scratching that must be done. I like Paul's wing tips, I was thinking of doing the same type of thing a "Hoerner style"... maybe for the next set of wings...

A suggestion: It would be a good idea to add foam protection against the wind´s noise in your mic. -> there´s a lot of wind noise in this video.

The wood structure has three coats of epoxy varnish which is required for the Poly Fiber covering system that was used. The epoxy was sanded in between each coat. I agree with the concerns about protecting the wood so I feel the weight gain is negligible.

Thinking of building a skyranger swift II, the Dakota Hawk has the same folding wings, and simple design I want for my recreational flying, also the quick builds seem simple enough just like the skyranger, one thing that worries me is protecting the wood from humidity, did you polyurethane coat all the wooden parts? even the non-visible ones? I would guess that adds a lot of weight

There is a nice one up on Barnstormer right now $29k with a 0200 only 50 hours on it. I don't think you could build a new one for that price. Building looks like lot of work probably not the type of plane for a 1st time builder.
