Today we're welcoming Dr. Paul Saladino to the show. Dr. Saladino is the leading authority on the science and application of the carnivore diet and animal-based diets. He has used these diets to reverse autoimmune issues, chronic inflammation and mental health issues in hundreds of patients, many of whom had been told their conditions were untreatable. Today we sit down and have a conversation about a different take on health, what the carnivore diet is and what exactly it includes, and Dr. Paul gives us insight into how he feels that vegans are going about their health in the wrong way. We discuss the misconceptions surrounding a predominantly meat-based diet, and he explains how the media has created a fear around animal protein and squashes the argument surrounding animal-based farming VS plant-based farming. He also gets into veganism, why it isn't sustainable, why humans need animal protein for overall health, and he gives tips on how to grocery shop for the most nutritious and sustainably raised animal products.

Been carnivore 94 days. Had the best biggest #4 Bristol chart ghost poop! Love this diet. I have the best GI system on this diet. I’m never hungry. My muscles are popping. Tons of energy. Chronic foot pain gone. Brain fog gone. Asthma/reactive airway gone. Allergies improved. Off all my allergy meds. I recover from exercise quicker. No IBS and bloat/leaky gut.

I have said this before- but I truly feel that colon cancer is NOT silent at all! Our bodies are warning us up to that point in stages when people eat plant based foods, processed or whole (raw or cooked) - doesn’t matter which type you digest- does the same to your colon! These are stages that our colon warns us that we are damaging it before we hit colon cancer: Stage 1: IBS symptoms- (Cramping, gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, extended bellies!) Stage 2 if you ignore stage one: Diverticulitis, diverticulosis, crones, celiac, ulcers, polyps, leaky gut, lactose, and so on. Stage 3: colon cancer! We need to be listening to our bodies! Doctors say it’s normal to have IBS- but NO it is not! It’s not normal at all- it is a warning that if we ignore, our guts will get damaged over time! There is no silence with colon cancer- your body has done so much to warn you but you just didn’t listen! I've been full carnivore for 47 days now. Down 32 lbs. Not a single gout flareup. Years long inflammation in my shoulder is gone. A "liver spot" on my arm that has had flakey skin for years, no longer does. Dandruff is gone, including that annoying beard dandruff. Feel better than I have in 10 years. Started at 310lbs and now at 278. I tried keto off and on for years. The problem with keto that I found was that because I'm addicted to carbs, any carbs at all just triggered craving more carbs. Also, two weeks after going carnivore, my fasting insulin went from 47.7, measured in April, to 31.9, measured in the middle of May. I'm doing more tests the beginning of July. Best diet I've ever been on and plan to continue it forever.

@@julienfroidevaux1143 Bowels are fine after 99 days. There is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate; yes, even fiber is not essential, just ask those people who have had their colon removed. Unlike the great apes, we are fore-gut digesters. We have a vestigial appendix where a ape has a cecum, which is used to ferment fiber. The body is pretty efficient and if a species isn't regularly using something, evolution just gets rid of it. Any sane paleo anthropologist will quite readily tell you that from Australopithecus till about 12000 years ago, the genus Homo was primarily carnivore, eating things like honey, berries, and fibrous roots either as they came across them or in times where meat was scarce. I've never seen a cave painting of the great kale hunts. We are apex predators. When was the last time you saw a predator in the wild, grazing?

To those new to carnivore- Carnivore diet cured so much for me! I am 5’7” and 47 years young. I update this list as time passes so it is always up to date, newest items at bottom of list. I have been zero carb carnivore (zero plants) for 1 year this Sept. 2023. And yes, carnivore is a permanent lifestyle for me! * No more perimenopause- completely reversed! *Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals. And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself! *No more night sweats *No more waking every 2 hours at night! *It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast! *No more life long eczema *No more cold hands (may have been Reynold’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more cold body temp in general! Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun. (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more IBS symptoms (gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea) *No more feeling low energy by 12pm and zombie by 4pm *No more purple looking hands in winter (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.) *No more brain fog *No more arthritis that I felt in hands, knees, and hips- or elbows *used to have sore hips when sleeping on my side. No more! *Lost 45+ pounds from former baby weight and peri menopause weight. *Always had 20/20 vision with slight stigmatism- but in March doctor said my stigmatism is reversing! *Don’t sunburn as easily anymore and tan well. *Wrinkles around eyes seem to be much less. I am 46 and look like I am in early 30’s. *Gums look super healthy. Dentist seems irritated as my teeth are not dirty when cleaning every six months. Think they know they won’t make money off me. *No more sore chest from monthly periods- no swelling feeling of fullness or discomfort that prevented me from sleeping on my stomach. Now I sleep every night on my stomach! *Fibrocystic Breast issues reversing! Almost all gone after 6 years of buildup! *no cravings unless they are for meat *no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago. *No more feeling weak like almost passing out and dizzy around ovulation and periods when walking around. * no more fingers swelling- that started a few years ago- rings kept being tight- is pattern I noticed. One ring I had resized larger and it’s super loose now. Will have to resize smaller. *feel stronger- now lifting barbells not just hands weights. Dr. Baker said since I am 46, and 5’7” at 122lbs- need more resistance training to add more muscle weight. . So bought a 47lb barbell off Amazon and have 40 extra pounds added to it. Will continue to progress with that. *Before carnivore- i had started growing grey hairs in one of my eyebrows, few hairs at a time, but no grey in my blonde hair yet - but assumed it was coming. Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights. * no more body odor! * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much. *I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that. * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things. *Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But not even a month in on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing! *no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing! * I have had no more issues from ear wax build up. Had it twice after having kids and docs would say it was a hormonal problem. Carnivore cured that too! *Veins in my arms look healthier. They were almost invisible before. *Legs no longer hurt on longer road trips or plane rides! *I used to get a popping sounds in my right shoulder when lifting weights. Was probably a pulled ligament. That is now gone! *I have been lactose intolerant since I was a kid, and I feel my nails are a bit stronger than before. They do break if I catch them on things but I feel they are getting stronger on carnivore. *My teeth look more white on carnivore. *My blood pressure has improved on carnivore. 6 years before carnivore up to starting carnivore my blood pressure was increasing. Now on carnivore it is back to normal like when I was younger. Last reading it was 100/75 which is awesome! *i used to get eye twitches in my eye lids, but that is gone. * at times when trying to fall asleep I would close my eyes and at times felt dizzy like falling feeling or spinning. But haven’t has that since I have been on carnivore for 12 months. *the skin on the heals of my feet are no longer cracked and dry! (Newest update added!) *when laying still in bed to fall asleep at times I would feel dizzy or feel like I was falling through the mattress a bit. I would be laying still and get that suddenly. Felt weird and made it hard to fall asleep. Never diagnosed with vertigo, but it may have been that. I no longer have that since I have been carnivore, which is nice! *little leak from sneezing or coughing that ladies get from estrogen dominance is gone on carnivore! Hormones balanced so no more estrogen dominance! *The top inner corner of both my larger toes have felt a little numb for years. Never had it diagnosed. But being 1 year on carnivore I no longer feel that numbness! My nerves have healed in that spot on both toes! Crazy! *My slightly receding gums behind my center bottom front teeth have rebuilt so gums all over are super healthy! I have flossed daily for years, but gums look even healthier! If I think of anything else will add. ☺️👍🏻 I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing! And they need to remember, processed foods are made from plants- but so are whole foods (raw or cooked!) they are all toxic! The carnivore diet cures! ☺️👌🏻 The body is a network made of multiple gears- and if one gets messed up it causes a whole domino affect of problems like I had! The carnivore lifestyle is not a fad, it’s the ancestral human way of eating! Go Carnivore for a few months and see how you feel! ☺️👍🏻 who do I follow- Dr. Baker, Dr. Chaffee, and Dr. Baker have excellent videos on how to start carnivore! I do not follow Dr. Saladino because I don’t agree humans should be eating large quantities of organ meats with organ pills, and no fruit and honey! You need to interview Dr. Baker, Dr. Chaffee, and Dr. Berry first! Them interview the others on my list I posted separate. ☺️👍🏻

Since we are talking about people curing things with carnivore diet- here is my story! So everyone knows I am 46, turn 47 soon- but look like I am in my early 30’s. I am now 122lbs and 5’7”. I have done a zero carb carnivore diet for 9 months now. Before I was saved by the carnivore diet I was 165lbs (weight would continue to creep up since I was 40 years old.) And I had so many other issues that are now cured. One was i had fibrocystic issues before carnivore. It built up over a six year period of western / SAD diet. Doctors said it was normal, nothing we can do. “Part of aging and now normal.” Nope! Then I tried the Mediterranean scam grain diet for 6 months- made things worse and even put me into peri menopause and many other issues like cysts that got to be quarter size round, so painful! Fibrocystic masses too were big! I was fed up and decided to go dig and dig to see if anything would reverse this! Found Dr. Baker, Dr. Berry, and Dr. Chaffee with carnivore diet! Then found out cruciferous veggies can ruin your thyroid and prevent natural absorption of iodine found in foods! I had eaten lean skinless chicken breast (a half of one maybe once a day), rices, and broccoli for 6 years- age 40-46 and daily! I want ladies to know they need to avoid cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, and cauliflower to prevent fibrocystic breasts- but plants in general cause it! Your body needs iodine for your lady organs and all other organs, but especially your thyroid! They really mess up the thyroid which messes up your hormones and causes all other issues! One big domino affect! I ask people to go watch Dr. Chaffee with Dr. Sally Norton on plant toxins! Fibrocystic breast issues are now what doctors have settled as “normal!” I truly feel it is considered an auto immune issue / plant toxic illness of inflammation that can be reversed with carnivore! If you look the rates of fibrocystic illnesses is drastically increasing- including breast cancer- and it’s posted on line that nobody knows what causes those! They tell people not to eat saturated fats! I eat fatty meats of beef and eggs- and 8 months on carnivore no more cysts and i have only one smaller fibrocystic mass left that is super small- continues to shrink- not the large mass it once was- shrinking drastically on carnivore diet! Carnivore diet cured so much for me! I’m diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis and after testing different kinds of foods, the ones that has help me not feel pain and not suffer from inflammation that will cause my immune illness to flare up it’s: Meat (not pork), eggs, fruits and vegetables (not broccoli that bloats me up). I used to walk around with a cane I barely had control of my legs and nowadays I go to the gym and I’m progressively getting better. Another thing is that I no longer have the urge to drink caffeine neither feel tired throughout the day like I used to. Really happy it’s been 2 weeks since the switch when I got out of a 6 day hospitalization.

Just got to minute 40 and this happened with my daughter when she was 2-3 years old! We put her on almond milk because “iTs hEALtHy” and she had UTI after UTI and never did the dr suggest to not have her on almond milk. But as soon as I got that out of her diet, the UTIs were gone and she hasn’t had one in 4 years! It was TERRIBLE that she suffered with that and right when we were trying to potty train her. It is so horrifying to see your child go through pain and to think it never had to happen if we just didn’t have her on almond milk.

Regarding "it all begins in your gut" the root cause for why our guts are so messed is number 1) the big childhood V's, followed by glyphosate in the food along w/ all sorts of other toxins in the environment. I developed terrible asthma as a child after receiving all my V's to start kindergarten. Like Paul it disappears w a carnivore diet, but I was fine eating SAD diet until my V's.

Paul Saladino is NOT the leading authority on the science and application of the carnivore diet, he is half animal based half fruitarian if anything. For purely carnivore info someone else such as Dr Baker, Chaffee or berry would have been a more appropriate fit for all things carnivore. For meat, organs and fruit/honey Paul is your guy. There is a massive difference between these two ways of eating.

My simple take on it is this. If the majority, if not all, of our medication and illegal drugs comes plants and the warnings on medication is as long as your arm. Don't eat plants unless you are ill. FYI 1 cow can provide 400 meals. That's more than a year's supply of food for 1 person.

I'm not sure if the world knows this but here in Australia we had a 11 years of drought. It was heating up to the point fires got out of control for the first time in 40 years. Then after the fires it flooded to the point of just crazy wow. It was probably the wettest month ever that we know. Ever since them fires, it's been wet, its been cold, we've had lots of snow. Somewhat seems normality, for Melbourne weather. My honest opinion is what I believe is the earth is fighting us to regenerate itself through fire, so it can continue to do what it does best and that is create life. Trees suck in carbon dioxide into its leaves for photosynthesis carbon plays a big role but the trees get full and need to burnt. Most our native trees need 3000 degree heat to germinate the seed, How hot is that fire and how long does it burn before the rain comes? A lot of the land us white people are on now is really black man's land and they would have known this by nature. We took the land, we spread over all over it. We put all the natural fires out to save property and lives. Now everything is going extinct, crazy weeds are taking over like a virus climate change mad things are happening. It needs to burn so it can flourish and create life. There is so many good things that can come from a big fire we just too dump to know and too fearful to find out. The warm climate areas of the earth will fight us until it burns, so it can regenerate and revegetate, we can't stop earth from doing what it naturally does best, it will eventually winthe more we fight it. Unfortunately we're spread over the liveable warm and colder climates, so life is going to be tough in the future thats for sure. We can control climate but we going to have to change everything. Cows pfft seriously?? If cows ate grass their poop would fertilise the soil and keep it rich. Once upon a time their were dinosaurs, if they ruined the earth with farts how did we get here?? This is meant to be a animal planet. Stupid stupid stupid people is all I can say. We drain the soil farming plants, how much land will we end up killing and using for so called man made vegetables?? Makes me sick thanks for sharing.

I agree with Paul on most of these points. I think he’s spot on on most of this. However, his consumption of fruit and raw honey to the degree he does I think is impacting his health (as seen in his facial health). He seemed much healthier on canrivore, except for his likely overconsumption of organ meats, lack of salt consumption, and not enough total proteinto get the insulin up to hold on to more electrolytes (he quit due to electrolyte issues). I may be wrong. Nonetheless, he is worth listening to and is a good, well-informed guy.

Here are my questions to “vegans”- (even though they are clearly not vegan but more heavy plant carb keto since they eat animals eggs, animal dairy, aquatic cold blooded animals, and now wanting to consume animal cell mutated grown meats from a lab! All 100% animal meat based!) But I am trying to help them see plants cause so many health problems! Questions I ask vegans but not one response back yet!: *How many of you “vegans” still have your gall bladders? Plants harm that turning into slush! Why do you think everyone is having gallbladders removed if eating all heavy plant based, or heavy plant based lean meats?! It needs animal saturated fats, not natural plant toxins! *How many have IBS-D (IBS with diarrhea) or IBS-C (IBS with constipation), crohn’s, diverticulitis or diverticulosis, celiac, colon polyps, bleeding bowels? Plants cause that! Our colons can’t digest plants. Those are all signs that if you continue they can lead to colon cancer! Your body is saying stop eating plants! As you can see, colon cancer is not silent at all! IBS is the first warning sign then escalates into the others, then final stage- cancer! *How many have high triglycerides? Plant cause that! *How many have thyroid issues? Plant cause that! *How many have fertility issues? Plants cause that. *Balding- ladies and men? Plants cause that! *Varicose and spider veins? Plants cause that- poor circulation! *Cold all the time? Plants cause that! Thyroid problems and hormones issues from plant natural toxins! *Ladies with perimenopause, menopause, and PMS symptoms? Plants cause that- all inflammation from plants. *How many have visceral fat- checked with CT scan? Plants cause that? *How many have glaucoma, macular degeneration, floaters, stigmatism, eye sight has worsened with age, dry eye, styes on eye lids, cataracts, and so on? Plants cause all that! *How many neurological disorders or diseases, like depressed, stress, angry all the time, anxiety, MS, dementia, Alzheimers, tumors, brain fog, and other issues? Plants cause that. *How many have bone loss? Plants cause that? *How many have diabetes? Plant cause that! *PCOS? Fibroids on breasts or uterus? PCOS should be renamed as: Plant causing ovarian sickness! (Watch Dr. Kiltz on that one!) ****Should I keep going? Look at the world today! Humans consume 85%-100% plant based to little or no lean chicken breast! Yet, the number of illnesses, diseases, and cancers are escalating! I know you have been asking, “why?” We are eating “balanced” and working out! We cut down meat and no red meat? Why ia this still happening to family, close friends, co workers, neighbors, anyone that is human on these “healthy” diets? Natural plant toxins! We have been on a human experiment the past 100-150 years on this religion based food pyramid and it isn’t working! (Watch Belinda Fattke on that mess of how food pyramid and vegan/ vegetarian/ SAD Western diet all relgion based- not science!) Do you care about your health? Then try low carb to zero carb meaning no plants! Try carnivore! Watch Dr. Baker, Dr. Chaffee, and Dr. Baker! They follow unbiased science! Watch all the people healing and reversing things on carnivore! I don’t see one “vegan” doing that! And you won’t because plants cause all that mess and eating only 100% plants will ruin your health! Eating even 20% os bad! Do zero

I am concerned for Saladino. His face has changed so much in the past two years. May be because he is eating too much fruit and honey and way too many organs daily. Could be from surfing daily in salty water.

No, that's just a stupid part of what Paul teaches. He eats fruit and honey, but is an avid surfer who spends hours surfing the waves every day and therefore burns off the carbs easily, similar to a profession sports person. The average Joe should not eat these 2 things.

@Hardware244 lol, scared. No one debates Bart Kay. People come to him with assertions that can not be proven and he tell them such. However, Bart can not prove his carnivore ideals either, so the only thing to be learned from Bart kay, is that we don't know anything at all regarding nutrition or ideal human diet. Just as Paul can not prove that the addition of fruit and honey is superior, neither can Bart prove otherwise. So a "debate" would be useless. Do what makes you feel good and don't follow strangers on KZbin like they are your cult leader.

@@philthyphil3324 Bart Kay debated some plant based fella, and the fella got smashed on all of his assertions and epidemiological claims. Even a vegan no name had enough courage to debate Kay, even though he got smashed too. Joey Schwartz, as well. Paul picks and chooses, very selectively who he converses and debates with. He had a talk with the lesser aggressive Carnivores- Chafee, and Berry but.. For some odd reason, Paul selectively "Ignores" Bart even though they did a video some time back together. He's so scared to even address any of the numerous video critiques of him, by Bart Kay. It's hilarious and pathetic at the same time. Not even a friendly discussion- since you deem debate as "useless" based on aforementioned criteria. Your savior is a pussy. Face it 😂

Someone who knows the sconce and is actively working with patients on it. ozempic is like the band aid solution for humans that no longer have the capability to produce neurotransmitters like gaba, dopamine and serotonin... so we endlessly crave foods with no end because somethings is functionally wrong inside the body... like a fungal infection, heavy metal toxicity, wisdom tooth cavitations, root canals or some other nutritional issue.
