Crackin’ cookout, Paul. You are a real inspiration. I just blew $100 on a Trangia Duossal 25 cookset. Just so I could be like you and Wiltshire Man. And last month I dropped a ridiculous amount on a DD XL hammock so I could be like you and Black Country Woodsman. Lol Northern Europe’s revenge for Trump’s trade wars. I do like to support the workers of my ancient homelands. Again atvb to you from the Oregon coast

You will be making videos soon. Letting us all see your cooking skills. Trangia is a fantastic cook system and the DD XL is a great hammock. I hope you love them as much as i do 😁

Used my new Trangia 25 Duossal set last night to make Thai stylechicken curry with fresh onion, garlic, Japanese eggplant, with coconut milk. What a fantastic cook set! It was chilly out there at the campsite but using just the alcohol burner, the curry cooked quickly, and I did get enough control using just the simmer ring. I think this Duossal stuff is great for cookware... just hope it holds up. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm so glad I found your channel. I have several Trangia burners, but after seeing this I'm going to get a gas burner too so I can simmer. I'm still on the fence about the Trangia cook set, but maybe I can find a used one on e bay for a good price. Tell Peter to please scrub his mess kit as it looks awful. Take care and God bless, Ken

Just like you Paul, I'm not a huge fan of cooking chicken on the bone though a lot of cooks swear that this method is more tastier! I know this is different from cooking curry but a tip that I use is when reducing, scrape the caramalised sauce that forms on the side of pot back into the pot. It just adds to the flavour! Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe Paul, I can't wait to give it a try. All the best to both you and Peter👍👍

Bloody great looking food, and cant beat a hammock chill makes life easier when out. Little tip on the rice if I may Paul, put the rice in a pan and bring to boil for about 6-7 mins take off the heat cover and leave alone. Like magic it'll cook itself with its own steam.

You need to publish a cookbook. I enjoy your show. I’m a diabetic also and would like to see you around for a long time. So I would like to suggest something. What your eating is ok it’s the quantity that’s the danger. I learned the hard way. Had to have laser surgery on my eyes, high blood pressure, several other things. On insulin 3 times a day, 12 prescriptions, life sucks. You take care. I’ve lost 45 lbs in the last year. Eat less.
@PaulBissekerBushcraft5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Gerald, I am eating less these days and doing exercise. I cycle as much as i can and feel better for it. Thanks for commenting. I was just saying yesterday to my girlfriend, people say i should write a cook book ;) Have a great day Gerald.
