There are reasons why i or we love Paul gilbert.... 1. He is one of the most Humble and funny guitarist when it comes to communicate and sharing knowledge. 2. He has really evolved...he explored every genre from metal to blues and jazz...not just a shredder...but a musical shredder. 3. He appreciates other artists and stay far from competitive world. He believes in having fun and you can see everytime he plays it. 4. He is getting better and better with age like wine. His recent albums are so much versatile. 5. I cant even play 1% of what he plays but still love him coz he is really a positive and beautiful soul. And one of my fav musician of all time. Love from India.

I agree with you. One more thing that I would add to your list... I love Paul Gilbert because every time he picks up a guitar he is like a kid with a new toy. There is just so much joy and fun whenever he plays and that comes across every single time I see him play. That is what makes him special in comparison to some other musicians.
