Hi Paul and every one who reads the comment! Thank you Paul for reminding us that every problem issue, can't be solutioned by AI Masking. Fortunately , we have a great person who take us again on the right way.🤗🤗👍 I confess, that at the beginning i did the same : Everything with AI masking. But i realised quickly that if you want to mask the sky, ( a lot of times there are trees and so one, the magic brush gives us a better work !

Shame I missed the live broadcast, but just watched it now and really useful information. Thanks Paul

I do upscaling within the OM-1 mrk ii up to 80MP by Sensorshift with 12 bit RAW. Unfortunately C1 still does not include the 14 bit RAW (several Feature Requests active) which is also an option within the camera. :-)

At the one hour mark, when the green of the tree looked bad, why didn’t you use the radius slider in LUMA range rather than refine mask, which required rasterization?

Bit more granular control, given I was planning on making further alterations after that was done 👍

Thank you for looking at the bike mask. I just wanted to know if you had a magic trick to get AI masking to work a different set masking. I reverted to the same method as you did. Now the B&W image can be enhanced using the colour slips I just needed to know if there is a tool around manual masking.

So the fun one with this - if ever you're on the beta, please (please please please) do send sample images like this in to the team - it's great to push the tools and gives people a goal for what "tough" looks like to make work. Glad you got to the manual place, and I know it's annoying, but I'd say it still feels like we're 2-3x more efficient now with the new tools than only a few years back :-)

@@Paulreiffer Yes I will consider beta … my workflow with people and other clearly defined objects is to apply a style with a background and object layer. Forests can be very tricky as the green light reflects even on the black tires. I do not want to mention white balance. These fast shutter speeds make the image dark … so separation with a murky cloudy sky can be tricky.

If they don't want to give features to "us" who are on perpetual licenses then okay but I'm on the latest version of 16.3 and the fact that every time I open Capture One I'm asked to sign in is extremely irritating. Something like that should be fixed no matter what version one is on.

That definitely shouldn’t happen Barry - do you have any blockers installed etc? Something very odd there…!

@@Paulreiffer I bought a new computer a couple of months ago so I went to the Capture One site and downloaded the latest version I was allowed. When I first launched it I was asked to sign in, which I did. But, after a couple of weeks I was asked to sign in again, which I did and now every time I open Capture One I'm asked to sign in or delay the sign in. I just click the delay sign in and get on with my day but it is an annoyance. I still have the same version on my old laptop, which I still use, running Windows 10 and this doesn't happen. The new laptop is running Windows 11 with no ad blockers etc. running on either machine.
