To activate the Invoker faster, you can activate it with exactly 8 colorless mana floating in the pool like at 1:21:57 and it’ll automatically use that mana without needing to manually click it. That would save another 56 clicks. That was still really fast though. You 100% full combo-ed in 3 minutes 😮

YES! I've been looking at all the three color versions and I don't like them as much as the Golgari version. Exited to watch the whole video.

Nice video. I 4-0ed a similar deck in paper last night. Felt really strong. I ran 19 lands, and I played Evolution Witness, but never cast it. In one case Haunted Cloak would have been better than Invoker because the need for colored mana is so strong in the combo turn, but otherwise Invoker was great, I played just 2. Refractor, Rumble, and Evicerator’s Insight were all very good at digging for pieces, and digging for Invoker mid combo. Bridges and Landscapes and Tamiyo all helped against Ponza.

@@shawnwilliamscreative nice run! Haunted cloak is interesting tech. Other than being a creature itself I don’t really see why invoker is better than cloak. Is there a reason cloak is worse in this deck? I think in paper, thoughtpicker which is still the best option. It’s just too slow online.

@@SnapBolt I actually didn’t lose a game, and won 7 of the 8 on the draw. There are certainly corner cases here and there, but yes Haunted Cloak would have been better in that last paper tournament for me. Still won, but took an extra turn.

One wincon I've been trying is Lampad of Death's vigil. It's tutorablr by shred memory, fewer clicks than witch too.

Cool list, but I am really digging on the ones that run unearth, witness, and the two green creatures that you can remove from graveyard and put a counter (maverick and slitherhead). I was never a big fan of the wellspring package as sometimes you just play a card that draws a card that you play to draw and so and so on… They also play Nadier’s Nightblade as a finisher that you don’t have to click, maybe worth considering. Anyway, nice video as always!

@@SnapBolt true. The infinite mana combo does seem a little strong imo… also considering how easy it is to get out I can see the lizard getting banned. I guess it really comes down to how well the deck does in the coming weeks

Wonder if it's worth looking at 3 sideboard slots going to Nightblade to side in and out against specific combo-hate pieces?... Hmm probably note. Sideboard slots are pretty valuable. And unless you're willing to drop Weather the Storm for redundant combo-pieces it's just not worth it.

I think you should include the 3 mana creature that has adapt and whenever it gets a counter returns smtg from the graveyard, it is infinite draw with the implement + glee when u have broodscale assembeld

@@justaghost7084 yeah, I discuss including witness in the post league deck discussion. For infinite draw, don’t you also need to be able to filter colorless to green? Evolution witness is still a strong card regardless

What do think of the fog that has flashback (I'm also bad with card names lol)? It would synergize with the malevolent rumble and would be helpful versus aggro. Could also be nice just to buy you a couple turns to combo.

Moment's peace, I know that one. It could be nice, but it would probably have to replace weather the storm in the sideboard, which I think is stronger and more versatile.

How do you feel about the BG gardens? Mono black Gary was my jam back when Ouellette was like 20 bucks and that deck seems the spiritual successor.

I think Invoker looks much stronger than Thoughtpicker, even in paper. Having a 3/1 is better than a 1/1 outside of the combo, and the colorless cost is mostly irrelevant on combo turns.

Perhaps, but I think the ability used fairly on thoughtpicker can be reasonable as well. Sac a spawn, try and stop them from drawing answers

Sideboarding feels a little awkward? I dunno. Some of those draws were kinda brutal, but I still like this much better than the three color version.
