Don't run mono for bobber fishing. Run braided, it floats so you won't miss bites.

how should I store pautzke single eggs? I've made spawn sacks out of them. do I need to put them in the fridge or can they sit in room temp

Hi Nate, Room temperature is fine. However, it's always best to wait until you are going to fishing to tie them. Otherwise, they will dry out over time.

The dime-size is what this guide prefers. Keep in mind, the size changes depending on the size of the river, flows, clarity, etc.

I decided put these to the test tied in sacks versus fresh spawn. This was my observation. I would find a hole run ten drifts with these and then fresh spawn. And I will tell you these DO NOT WORK! However fish like a bead for this is the only possible way these will work. Also fished as a single egg on the hook is about useless as they fall off about every other cast. My suggestion is to just use a bead and beads work but usually crap too.

Hi Kyle, Ironically, we are getting photos sent in daily from anglers who are catching lots of fish on them. Keep in mind, not all anglers have access to fresh spawn. Thanks for giving them a try and good luck fishing!
