I love the Canucks, but my all time favorite team was the '94 team! Pavel Bure will always be my favourite Canuck!
@vi3thunny14 жыл бұрын
I still consider him one of my all-time favourite Canucks player until the day I die. The way the team was during the 94 cup finals and used their skills with finesse. I'm still a Canucks girl no doubt, but the current line-up are nothing like Captain Canuck Linden and Bure.

Nationality has nothing to do with talent. Canadian, Russian, American, etc, It doesn't matter. Hockey brings people from all over the world together and that's what makes it so great. There is nothing wrong with loving your countryman, and being competitive. But so many hockey fans are flat out disrespectful. Being biased is being human, but show some respect. The world looks down on you.

Early 90s r the most talented era in nhl n the most defensive oriented plays era. These golden era players if playing in todays loosen rules , they would destroy everythings
@brandorock17 жыл бұрын
Bure was one of the most remarkable athlete in the hockey history, his body-fat was around the 5 pourcent year long, which is extremely difficult to maintain. He also bench more than 1.5 his body weight. I think that his high level of play is due to his physical fitness, greatly above the average.
@almo898913 жыл бұрын
@Ahattrick4asprilla It was called the dead puck era because teams played very defensive and all the games were low scoring. Any player with the puck would get hooked and grabbed really badly and penalties were rarely called. The new rules don't allow players to do that anymore which means more offense. So if Bure played today, he would be winning the rocket richard every year.

Russia vs. Canada would be a great final. Either team has enough skill to win but in such a short tournament it'll be who has the right type of players, and which team comes together the fastest. Takes more than goal scorers to win a championship.

Linden to McLean was Pavel & Gino. These two as Ojick said he Pavel didn't understand America's English or speak it the first few yrs. And I got my jersey signed by Pavel Bure after came gave me a huge. The guy was and is a nice guy gentleman

@barkleysound the only reason he wasn't is because the canucks used a loophole to allow him to be eligible for the draft, they used an oft seen couple semi amateur games to say he was a professional, even though he was 17. If not Bure would of went number 1 overall instead of 56th in the 4th round, Bure was destined for a trade up war between Detroit, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles

He sure was fun to watch. So fast and he hit bigger than he was. Cherry was right that he didnt play much defense but he could find the back of the net like no one else. Funny how back then they took 2 minute shifts. Shows how much things have changed. Hed be even better now if he was starting out. His speed would dominate even more with nobody hacking and hooking him.

rick riz Russian players were only selfish when they played on teams with a bunch of Canadians that couldn’t match their skill. Look at the Russian 5 in Detroit. 5 Russians playing the same system showed that they were team players. Panel had to do it all in Vancouver because nobody on that team came close to his skill level.
