A brief explanation with re-enactment of Ivan Pavlov's discoveries while working collecting saliva from dogs which led him to develop the principles of what came to be known as Classical (or Pavlovian) Conditioning.

In psychology class we were having such a laugh at how stupid Pavlov's dogs were. Then, the bell rang and we all went to have lunch.

Thanks for the video. I have been earlier a biology student and Pavlov has been one of my favorite scientists. I read about him, his experiments with dogs and the classical conditioning theory of learning he gave to the world on the bases of these experiments. This video is an elegant presentation of the experiments. On watching it I have been able to comprehend the experiments in much better way. And though I had changed my stream to mathematics even when I was a student; and have been a mathematics teacher for more than 27 years, I have gladly shared the video with my students.

It's a story of event's that happened that led to the discovery of the conditioned response. The story varies differently with each telling but its all the same. Psychology 101 will cover this but it's not a big deal unless you understand it's use and where it can be applied.

Estoy buscando el documental completo, la productora, la cadena que lo produjo, el nombre del director o productor... Sé que pertenecía a una serie de documentales, pero tampoco sé el nombre. For your Information: Pavlov is a MONSTER! 🤬🤬🤬 He destroyed these dogs! - He cut holes in their stomach so the food would fall out. Making them eat and eat while never getting feed at all - He electrocuted them while eating. Animals were traumatised and got scared of eating - He gave them drugs and cut off their balls - They got water injected into their stomach so they wouldn't die These dogs were traumatised tortured and practically begged to die there. But they weren't allowed. I hope this man gets all the torture back where he went!!

Pavlov's further studies revealed that the second signalling activity which is the characteristic of human nervous system is a must for the consciousness. As the dogs and all other animals except human beings lack this activity, so are not conscious beings like the human beings. So it does not matter what kind of experiments are conducted on the dogs or animals other than human beings.
