Mcky Tiempo are you that stupid? Have you ever met or interact with a comic dealer or collector before? Just because all of those boxes have old comic book it doesn’t not mean they are all valuable. They're not going to sell the comics individually. Yes, if you sell the comics individually then you could get $1 each. But it doesn't make sense for a pawn shop to sell 2100 comics individually. It would take years, lots of work, and money to sell them separatley! They are common comics! of no great value or sellablity! Just because a comic is a #1 does not make it automatically valuable! It has to be a popular character in great demand! As a former long time comic book dealer, I wolud not buy these at all! I have plenty of bronze comics that are hard to sell. You cant get book value on them. Even the $200 worth, the guy so called cherry picked are not worth anything near $200! Only Key Silver & Gloden age comics in fn to nm are in any demand!

I think what drives collectors' passion is the connection they can make with a piece especially if it comes to them from another family member. What makes these sort of finds valuable is the history that often comes with them. Keeping the comic books would have been great a way to grow a deeper appreciation of not only vintage comics but for their family as well. Antiquing is more then collecting,..its about keeping history alive.

Honestly, it's hard to tell if he got a good deal or not because they didn't show us what was in the other boxes. There were some good books I saw, but who knows if there were better ones stashed in other boxes. As a comic book enthusiast, I appreciate pawn stars having these comic book segments, but they really need to show them going through each box so we can gage what they are buying. That statement about the 5 cents per book was total rubbish imo though, I think 50 cents - 5 dollars each is more realistic for what could be gotten for the others on average as there were 70s and 80s books in there. Also Chum is being rediculous imo if he thinks that Doctor Strange #1 from 1974 is worth a few hundred bucks 0:52

The majority of comics from the 70's, 80's, and 90's aren't worth anything even in good condition because there are just a lot of them leftover due to how so many people held on to them. The comics that can potentially be worth a lot in good condition are those from the 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's. One of the primary reasons Golden Age and Silver Age comics are so valuable is because no one knew they would be worth something, and so kids would end up rolling them up, writing on them, ripping out pages, etc, and they would end up being thrown in the trash.
