Good to see you back. Power and services must be restored by now.

We are very lucky to have power. Most of my families’ homes are still without power. Also there is no gas available for cars. We also have many repairs. Recovery will be very long.

Good day. I am so relieved that I found this video. Thank you very much. I was almost thinking I will never be able to use my CNC for box joints. Question: What material are you using for this box?

Glad it was helpful! Masonite was the material used.

I was just wandering why your dust boot hits the clamps. I set mine where the bristles are just proud of the project as well and the bristles just glide right over the clamps. As long as you don't make the clamps you use taller than the bristles they will not hit the plexy housing of the dust boot. At least mine never have the upgrade did not change that either works the same with or without upgrade. I thoroughly enjoyed the video and you and the comment section gave me some great project ideas thank you for all you do. Have a blessed day.
@PawPawsWorkShop3 жыл бұрын
I’m being overly precautious. I don’t want to take the chance of any interaction with the dust boot to a clamp that could cause a problem
@GregoryLynnWood3 жыл бұрын
@@PawPawsWorkShop I agree, You can sit the bristles on the board and the dust boot will still just go over the clamps. But if you are overly cautious your bump stops are great here.

How do you compensate for the bit size you are using. I have tried this and the joints are very sloppy. Do you cut on outside of all the pieces. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
@PawPawsWorkShop Жыл бұрын
Yes, the app generates on path which will make joints loose. Change to cut on outside

I tried it with MDF and made a slide lidded box. The cut groove was too close to the top, leaving only 1-1.5mm of wood, so the lid just pulled out. Do I need to modify the program before cutting?
@PawPawsWorkShop2 жыл бұрын
Yes, modify the box in any way that works for you

Hi, I just got a cnc and it looks like you have some great videos about it! Is this version of Easel free? Or is it a paid version like the easel pro?

I enjoyed today's video with the Box maker app. If you were to make a tray instead of a drawer how would you do curved handles on the sides. Thanks for the videos Bob

Same way. Edit the nodes by removing the ones that were not necessary and to accommodate the handle

have this normal human dimensions metric system, because only 3 country in world use old bre-history cavemen imperial dimensions today. and have this software, easel or what have ???? for linux debian too or only old windows system.
@PawPawsWorkShop5 ай бұрын
All too often countries mix the different systems. The US is not different. We use both systems depending on the field that you are in and from reading many of the comments it seems many other countries do the same. It would be nice to have just one system everywhere

@PawPawsWorkShop3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the basic easel is free and is a very easy program to learn and is very capable of doing many basics projects. If you chose to add the pro version then that is paid and it does add a number if additional features such a vcarving, raster, ramping and a number of other nice features

Don't ever use easel. It's the worst software ever for a cnc mashine. I know I was forsed to use it with my new cnc croncraft mashine. Worst time of my life right there.
@PawPawsWorkShop2 жыл бұрын
Easel is an excellent beginner software that has a lot of the basic features you need to be successful. It’s easy to learn and you can get up and running quickly. You do not need a separate sender to get the project to the machine. It’s all there. I still use it today for quick projects and projects where I need to make changes and then carve another.
@Pir8Gaming3612 жыл бұрын
@@PawPawsWorkShop personally I had the worst experience with easel any person that starts with cnc could have. Since going over to aspire and lightburn I have never been happier.
