RIP Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, and Battlefield Vietnam Multiplayer servers. Gamespy is shutting down so that means every single server and all mod servers are going to die. EA could fix it easily, but they wouldn't be gaining any money from it. Everybody have fun while you still can because the change will happen on May 31st. Thanks for the information. Nice to hear that. I tried several military simulations like ARMA, OP Flashpoint etc.. Nothing can reaches the quality of PR. BF3 was for me a hollywood based teenager game. We want something special, something real. The developers has to learn to listen gamers first. Thats why gamers are modifying each time for gamers the game again. Still stuck with PR.

Yes it's a mode for battlefield 2 you can download it at : Realitymod-com you have to download 3 parts . Total size 4 gb you will need patch 1.5 and 1.41 for battlefield 2 to install the mod you can install from the same site v0.97 map pack ( recommended )

Yes Sir. There are people still online. Almost 8-10 servers are every night full of soldiers. We are playing version 0.98 of PR. But version 1.0 is coming out next with French Forces and a few modifications. I think its worth installing again.

Project Reality is a Very good mod, which makes BF2 a more realistic game in gameplay! With this mod it is recommended: - Teamwork - Voice chat with your squad (use mumble that comes with the mod, or use ingame voice chat). - Another bunch of stuff that you will find out! :D There are thousands of people playing on servers! Right now I'm downloading the mod becus i upgraded my pc.

@WhipDiddyWhip If you stand absolutely still and scope, the bullet will fly straight. Unless you're shooting at a target over 400m away, then you have to account for bullet drop. Takes a while to get used to because of the deviation but it's worth it. :)

You don't unlock anything in PR. You must join a squad and then request kits from designated areas like main bases. If you're in a good squad you squad leader will tell you what kits the squad is going to need. Only a certain amount of each limited kit is available to a team. Like there are only usually a couple of sniper kits available to a team. There are also limits for each squad on the amount of special kits they can use. For example you can only have 1 automatic rifleman per squad.

Can someone explain what Project Reality is about? I'm guessing it makes it abit more realistic. Like 9:24 when the medic is actually a medic and not just someone who throws a med pack down. I can't wait to get back on PC gaming coz BF3 just doesn't cut it in my opnion. I play on PS3 at the moment and decided to play a TD just to mess around. I didn't want to do it on CQ it's not really fair on the players who want to play right. I noticed that more ppl play TD than any other mode, sad state.

Always wanted to get in to this game. But the servers always lagged for me. I could run the game perfectly on it's highest settings. But, the internet connection was so bad, it messed up the whole game. Never could I actually communicate to my squad members because of the stupid internet.

fixed as in removing as much as possible those frustrating moments when you completely missed the target after waiting quite a lot, watch the first devcast for more info about this. Although deviation will never be fully removed as you clearly do not know t is there to represent weapon sway that cannot be made to work with the bf2 engine limitations.

Well, you can create a "local server" alone and fight with the bots. Maximum 48 bots to play with. You can also ajust the bot difficulty (cleverness of the bots) and bot ratio (number of bots on each side).

I'm on ArmA 2 & BF3. I have yet to get that experience in ArmA 2. It's an awesome game but I think the maps lack the deep urban environment BF2 & 3 maps have, also I haven't been able to get on the right server. BF3 is a mixed bag. While I enjoy the multiplayer, I wish there was more factions to play other than just USA & Russia & I wish BF3 had a mission editor so I can further my experience with the game. Game on.

origin is ok , it's just that its not got as good a following as steam so the communication built in (shift f1) is kinda obsolete. I find the application to be quite resource heavy for what it is and whenever you finish a game , it puts an ad on your screen. Steam does that as well but I'd like there to be an option to quit that. I mean , you just bought one of the games from them. If you enjoy the interface , you will come back (or so the theory states)

i heard the digital copy from steam has issues. just buy it off ebay or amazon. i bought bf2 deluxe edition with special forces. the other 2 packs come in the last patch that was released. for the record DICE made the Battlefield series. EA are the ones publishing it
