Mr. Berry, you certainly captured the essence of what The Great Smoky Mountains are all about. Excellent job. Looking forward to Autumn in Tennessee and perhaps a trip to the Smokies!

Thanks for bringing the smoky mountains to me! My husband was working out of town when we normally go every October but couldn't this year. Love and miss the clouds, color and shadows this area brings. Thanks again!

You're welcome! Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it. The video this year was a little different than normal because of the heavy rain during the four days that I was there--about 1/2 to 1 inch per hour. So the colors are more subdued than normal, except during the close-up views. But there was a lot more of the hanging smoke, the "smoky" effect the mountains and park were named for. I recorded this during pauses in the rain, during light rain and occasionally during the heavy rain. It was a new experience but I enjoyed it. Bad weather has it's own rewards sometimes...

About two months before my wife passed away, while we were on our way to one of her treatments, she asked me what I was going to do with her ashes. Then she added that she just wanted to know if I wanted a place to go visit her and leave flowers, keep them in an urn so I could talk to her, or scatter them somewhere meaningful to me and our son. I’ve never been very ceremonial. Well Lived is a true blessing . They handled the whole ceremony perfect . It was meaningful to me to revisit some of the special places that we had been to together. We used to spend our summers traveling to some of the National Parks we wanted to hike. So to return to those places were both meaningful for me and fun. welllived.com/collections/destinations

Man, so sorry for your loss. It becomes bittersweet returning there after losing someone you love. You feel the memories, and see them in your minds eye at a special spot, or when you enjoyed a perfect day, and it cuts deep, yet you still long to go there, you cannot stay away. My loss was not by the cruelty of time, disease or nature but by my beloveds own choice to abandon all we shared, yet after four years I am still drawn there, even knowing the mix of joy and pain that awaits me. The odd thing is we feel that pain because it's the price we pay for such a rare gift of having that special person in our lives at all being in that magnificence. It would be sadder still if experiences you both shared there had never happened, and not be part of your hearts treasure. I wish you the best my friend, I pray you will be blessed for your suffering and receive comfort in the days to come.

I have seen less traffic on the Interstates of the West, than I see here. Something is lost, when you must take your car everywhere, through every valley, and over every mountain ridge. Indeed, if you get out and hike, you might actually see something. . . Yes, you captures the essence of "The Smokey Mountains National Park," cars, noise and pollution, included. Sorry; one down vote, here.

I love my Smoky Mountains. Thanks for the video, but I have to say that your editing could have been better. Some shots only showed for about 5 seconds, giving just barely enough time to see what it was before moving on to the next shot. Maybe it's just me, because when I show images or videos of those beautiful mountains, I make sure people have time to actually see the scene. Maybe I should put some of mine on youtube. :) Please don't misunderstand, I'm not saying in the least that your video is bad or anything, it's just that I would allow a little more time on EVERY view, like you did on some Plus, it seems you kept going back to some views. I still gave you a thumbs up, because you did show the magnificent scenery of the Smokies. Why not just show that view for a good amount of time, then go on to something else? I sometimes had to stop the video so that I could enjoy the view showing. However, it seems like you slowed the viewing time down in the latter part of the video and i did enjoy that. Great shots of the elk! They are one creature that have always escaped my view when I'm there, at least so far. (SIGH!) All the same, thanks for the video. I can never get enough of my Smoky Mountains. :)

LeH, I agree. I would like to look at each scene longer also.
