You precious, brilliant woman, you! Dog collars indeed. I make your designs into bracelets for my friends who are not shy about being confused with looking like poofters. I embellish them with semi-precious jewels as in placing a "diamond" in the center of the diamond in your diamond pattern (dog collar). Do keep healthy and creating more patterns, luv.

I love your design.... one thing I must ask... WHY did you cut and singe the cords on the TOP side of the collar instead of the backside? The solid yellow cord should have been placed through to the backside before you cut and singed the cords... it makes for a much cleaner finish and a more attractive design! I want to turn this collar into a bracelet... thanks for the great tutorial!

How do you know How big the buckle has to be when you make a dog collar? and how do you calculate How long your paracord has to be. Sorry for my bad english😅 because im dutch.
@Peacedonkeys6 жыл бұрын
hi francis. if you do a few inches of your pattern, you can see how wide it is and get a buckle to fit. To calculate how much cord you need, if you do a few inches of your pattern then undo it, you can measure how much of each cord you used and multiply that by how long you want your collar to be. hope that helps, good luck with your projects!

I'm mnew here but I also am visually impaired with only 15% vision in my right eye and no vision in my left at all, so I'm having a hard time with your black background your work is amazing but I can't see it well enough to follow with the dark on black backing 😢 I want to make this collarfor my dog but can't follow

Hi, great tutorial thank you - will be giving it a go at some point. The question I have is, once you have fitted the collar on your dog, done up the buckle where/how do you tuck away the excess collar thats come through the buckle? Kind regards ;)
@Peacedonkeys6 жыл бұрын
hi Paul, if you are making it to fit your dog you can make sure you don't have too much left over and the buckle will hold it down. OR, you could use a second "D" ring for the keeper, or you can make a keeper with paracord like I show in this crown trail collar if your buckle is only a half buckle like this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jH3Uq3aboM58qZI . Hope it all works out for your doggie! Let's know how you go with it.

Hi great tutorial. Can you tell me what the name of the knot is? Ik like the middle, but not the begin and end. Or can you tell me how i begin. (I will make a collor for my dog, but then i will use the middle knot (criss cross)). Thank you
@Peacedonkeys5 жыл бұрын
hi thanks hondenfan, i'm not sure if it has a 'proper' name, i just call it crisscxross. As for how to do it non-adjustable, you can start similar to this collar that is non-adjustable. all the best with it! kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqrcnKOOgryZm8k

Your work is amazing. I am working on collars and leashes for Christmas gifts. My grandson shows Boer goats and asked if I could make halters and leads for them. Do you think modifying your horse halter patterns would work? Or do you have a specific pattern? Great job with your videos. You are a great teacher!
@Peacedonkeys5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nikki for the kind words. I had a lady buy a mini horse halter from my market stall once for her goat, but i don't have a specific one. Maybe you could ask your grandson what he currently uses for showing, and measure it so you can make one that fits? If it's a flat leather type rather than a rope type, you could use a nice collar pattern?

What do you mean by 'sanctified' in this context? Google isn't really helping lol
@Peacedonkeys4 жыл бұрын
g'day Alex, 'sanctified' is the pattern at the start with the blue and black cords, and when you add in the other colours into the centre of the 'sanctified' pattern, you are 'modifying' it. hope that helps, all the best.
