@@flacidhouse350 - You can hear the 'clunk' when his 'dad' falls. It is cannon that in the comics Peacemaker believes the helmet is possessed by the spirits of the people he's killed, so they might to 'literal ghost' in this iteration.

In the comics, Vigilante does have super powers. Something about him training and being experimented on. So it explains though never addresses it, why vigilante was taking explosions and taking bullets and jumping out a three story window without problem. Loved your reaction and hearing Aquaman say “fuck you barry.” I couldn’t believe 😂 they got them in just to swear on screen 😂

I think the moral of this story is that it is extremely important to remember that we are all people. If we look at things in too broad of a stroke like the Butterflies, we're going to miss what matters. We're going to forget to have a heart. All the ways I could remember Gunn writing this theme into the show: - Nazis don't see non-whites as people and it makes them do literal evil. - Chris was just a tool and a shell before he realized that he was hurting individuals for his peace crusade. - Everyone felt terrible for bullying Economos about the dye beard because they just saw the sarcastic outer shell and couldn't remember that he was a person that was lonely and wanted connection just like them. - Adebayo remembers that even the criminals are people and does the right thing and makes sure they are not subjected to more inhumane treatment by her mother. - Hardcourt couldn't see Chris or the team at first, but was at her best when she created the 11th Street Kids (she also gets bonus points for easily seeing the "humanity" in Murn and being able to grieve him despite being a butterfly). - Judomaster and Goff fail to save humanity, perhaps because they looked at the picture too broadly, instead of at the people level - Goff does, however, learn to see the other person in Chris, and instead of getting a futile revenge on him, presumably lives out his final days being his friend at the trailer (no cow means no more food after all, so he can't save himself or the Earth). - Finally Chris chooses to save his friends instead of forcing an ideal on everyone. FunnyLilGal said it best already, who really knows if your way of thinking or solving a problem is always the best way? Great reactions, thanks so much for sharing!

If you’re looking for another amazing DC show down the line I highly recommend checking out Doom Patrol. It’s one of the deepest, funniest and most bizarre shows you will ever see. It also has people like Brendan Fraser and Timothy Dalton in it. I honestly cannot recommend it enough. Even taking reactions out of the factor it’s definitely worth watching.

The sad part about the justice league is body doubles for batman and cyborg were supposed to be in it but were cut at the last minute. Now to wait for season 2 when James Gunn finishes GOTG 3. I recommend the Harley Quinn animated series if you're interested. Similar humor to peacemaker.

Vigilante does have healing abilities but of course it’s not as good as other characters like Wolverine, Deadpool, Hulk, etc, he can heal quickly from stabs and gunshots. Here it’s seems that he is too dumb to even know that it’s not normal, but when he sleeps he heal quickly. That’s why when he was injured by the grenade he pass out and later he is healed, he just think it’s normal because he ain’t the smartest person in the world. I hope James Gunn dive into that in the second season. Like a scene of Vigilante getting shot a lot of times and then pass out, sleeps and he is all healed and Chris and everyone is like “Wtf!”

@@reynaldolorenzo8409 Vigilante doesn't have very many friends, his dad ran off, and the rest of his family is dead. All of this is implied to be several years prior to even Chris going to jail, and he looks in his early twenties in the show. Normal human interaction is weird to him, and he is awkward socially, and like you said, kinda dumb. Vigilante probably has no idea that going to sleep and waking up mostly or completely healed is abnormal. Either that, or he is keeping it a secret from those around him, like he mentioned to Peacemaker about his secret identity and not going to jail because no one knows what he looks like. Remember Peacemaker accidentally stabbing Vigilante during the Judomaster fight in EP3? Vigilante didn't even seem mad. Just "Duude" in a disappointed voice. As if it were a minor inconvenience that was just going to take a nap to heal.

Thanks for the reaction to this series, it was delightful :) As a Hebrew speaker, I have a small clarification: Gal Gadot's name isn't pronounced like a french word, with a silent "t" at the end - Hebrew doesn't have silent consonants (other than sometimes H). She should probably have transcribed it as Gadott or something, to avoid that pronunciation error ("Gal" means wave, "Gadot" means banks of a river (plural. Singular is "Gada"))

Also, Batman would be totally vulnerable to Butterfly takeover and Waller would never want the things he knows getting to the Butterflies. Batman is a middle aged man. If he goes out on patrol for one night he has to stay home for three days icing his knees.

Also I wanted to say, I don't know if having a good amount of compassion makes for a better dramatic actor, but John Cena has done more for Make-A-Wish than any other celebrity (over 650 "wishes" as of last I heard last year). If I were a celebrity I'd love to be able to do this for people, but damn, that's a helluva commitment. Great reaction series. I really enjoyed your perspective. I'm going to go ahead and share my Harcourt theory, Harcourt was dating Rick Flagg: We know Rick Flagg likes to dip his pen in the company ink. Intelligent professional diminutive blondes appear to be his type. Her remark about Chris being handsome indicates that tall, buff, sandy blonde, action hero guys are her type. She is really mad about what happened to Rick Flagg. She brings it up multiple times, holding a grudge against Waller and Peacemaker. Her habit of going to a bar alone to "get a drink," (She only drinks beer, you don't need to go to a bar for that) dressed in her most flattering clothes with full makeup indicates she is missing some kind of male attention but clearly isn't interested in any follow through. Looks to me like she's in mourning. She also only wears black. Might be a season 2 barrier for them actually getting together.

I think that would be a very interesting dynamic. I personally would like there to be an absence if a love story. It’s possible to have coworkers of the opposite sex (or same sex) and not fall in love. If there’s a love story between them, kill me now. BUT I do have to disagree with Harcourt dressing a certain way means she wants attention from men. Sometimes going out for a drink is just being around people, not searching for attention. Being somewhere loud can easily fool your brain into thinking your not lonely

@@funnylilgalreacts I would say the love story is already there. Some of the best love stories are about unrequited love, "Gone with the Wind;" "Wuthering Heights." I don't think Peacemaker was living in a hospital hallway because Economos was there. Also, I totally disagree. This story needs a love story somehow. It's all about Peacemakers growth into a fully self actualized human and that should include some kind of serious relationship, if for no other reason than he clearly appreciate I'm just going by my experience. I was a bouncer for years, which is basically studying human behavior in bars for 12 hours waiting for a fight that doesn't happen. If she went to the grocery store dressed like that it wouldn't mean anything to me, but going to a bar, sitting in the most lit part, right in the middle of the room, she wants to be seen, and being seen like that draws male attention. Also, where is her jacket? It's cold in that bar. Other people are wearing flannels and winter coats and she's in a thin top? Is she from Alaska? On a lessor show I would consider it likely they are just trying to make their female star look as attractive as possible and sacrificing narrative logic to do so, but this is the show that had Murn being too close to an explosion be a hint and the spymasters be ahead of the audience on the big reveals. It's big on using convention as a mask.

Doom Patrol is a masterclass in character development... If you have already seen it, then I would find it interesting to see what you thought of it... The Trivia behind that was that Ezra Miller and Jason were near where James Gunn was filming Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and they were able to stop by and film their scenes for this on the Marvel studio. Gal and Henry and whomever is Batman is an up in the air question with DC/WB right now.

It craps on individual free will, it's such a horrendous moment to think there is any kind of mercy in using humans as puppets with no will at the service of a hive mind under the vague pretext of saving the world, as if it's the only way to do so XD... Makes my skin crawl, the few reactors that sided immediately with the butterflies, come on guys, what team are you on XD... They use kneejerk reaction tactics, it's a trap, putting the common good as an excuse to erradicate free will... I know we all want a peaceful world where everyone can coexist (it's not a bad thing to want), but it sure as hell cannot be obtained by totalitarianism or global dictatorship... Come on now, peace by force, that's not how it works XD. Even a dummy like Peacemaker figured it pretty quick. Great show, lots of mischeif, tangents, irreverence, violence and a bit of heart, to balance it out XD. I will miss Murn really, his cold attitude, and the deadpan acting were so much fun when interacting with the rest of the team. But really not one member of the team felt like it had no purpose, they all did their part, and there's great chemistry between them. Gunn and his losers :) None of them would have continued to be who the were, if he caved on to the butterflies plan. "Humans are very pathetic", they had contempt for us.

Actually it is kinda how sarcasm works for some people, like autistic people for example, because some of us don't pick up on social cues, rhetorical questions, sarcasm and so on and we need an indication for it, otherwise we'd take it in a literal way because we don't notice the tone that would indicate it's sarcasm. It's even worse through text. That's why there's tone indicators for it, like when I'm writing something sarcastic I'll put '/sarc' at the end of the message and if it's verbally I could invent a system with signs that indicate it's not meant in a literal way. Sorry, just kinda felt like I needed to explain it because I keep seeing people say 'but that's not how sarcasm works' and I think we should normalize using tone indicators and other accommodations for everyone who needs it. 🧜🏻‍♂️/not neg/gen/srs
