Can you believe this textile piece full of texture and colour was created using only three stitches? It's true! Join me Start to Finish as I show the versatility of my Top 3 essential Embroidery Stitches for Slow Stitching. I also show a different way to cut out a shape (in this case a crow) with clean edges. As a Bonus - I answer the question, "What do you do with these pieces?" by demonstrating a way to display textile art on canvas. Feel free to stitch along with me! There's loads of detail and insight. See the Chapter timestamps below so you can hop around.
The stitched artwork created in this video is available in my shop, yay! - www.jomorphett...

I really like your project and the video too, but I would like to make one small suggestion, that it might be better to call the stitches by their more universally known names (running stitch, blanket stitch, seed stitch, and backstitch) so as not to confuse. I mean this in kindness. Again, I do really like the project you made and the techniques you demonstrate.

I think she has used the traditional names. The names ‘wandering stitch’ is what she is doing with them rather than the name of the actual stitch.

Cute piece!!! Maybe show the first several stitches in regular speed. Can’t really make out what or how you are doing the stitch. I can Google it I guess but just a kind suggestion. ❤

Would wax paper work instead of freezer paper?

I wouldn’t use wax paper. It would melt under the iron and make a big mess I think. The great thing about freezer paper is that one side is paper, so safe to touch the iron.

Your work is pretty but you are working too fast for people to see shat you are doing. Can you slow down or use some darker thread to see his you are doing it on a sample. Maybe do a sample piece on white with dark thread then put together your actual piece.

Thanks for the feedback. You may find KZbin’s slow motion feature helpful. Here’s how depending on the device: support.google.com/youtube/answer/7509567?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop

If this is supposed to be a tutorial, its not working for me! You're going to fast and the cameras too far away! Love your work, though. Very pretty.

I agree. I'm guessing too much. Not fun. But she speaks well.

You can watch in slow motion. To slow down a video on youtube you select it in the settings. It’s a bit different depending on your device (android, computer or ipad) here are the directions from google: support.google.com/youtube/answer/7509567?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&oco=0
