Peakdale Special! Completed Accurascale 37402 loaded test runs July 2024

Welcome back to Dale & Lane Operations here with a Peakdale Special!
After spending a few months out of traffic today we see 37402 make its first moves on test after having internal work, detailing and a good old weathering to bring the loco to life.

Thank you! This Accurascale loco looks and sounds very well. How would you compare it to a similar Bachmann model?

Thank you for the comment. If I had to choose between this or Bachmann it’s a hard one for me to be fair, however I would go with Bachmann 37 BUT the 21 pin version, simplest reason for that, easier to work with, easier to get decoders for them and out of all the Bachmann 37s I have not one has ever gone wrong. Considering I have a fair few offerings from Accurascale of the 37s I’m still blown away by the detail the models come with but the upgrade of the speaker that 402 had has made all the difference I must admit.

She looks and sound great. Did you re-speaker her, or is it the standard Accurscale one?

Cheers Luke, the speaker inside this was replaced with an ESU 8ohm bass and sugarcube combo, very good speaker to give the sounds a real boost

@@DanStanbridge I've used one of the,m in an Austrian diesel. It's a wonderful speaker. I had a conversation with Cavalex before it came out and then had been involved in getting ESU to do it.
