Unsalted butter 80g | 1/3cup
Caster Sugar 45g | 6Tbsp
Whole egg 3 (55g+- an egg)
Crunchy peanut butter 30g | 2Tbsp
Cake flour 80g | 7Tbsp
Baking powder 1.5g | 1/2tsp
Fresh milk 30ml | 2Tbsp
Vanilla extract 2.5g | 1/2tsp
Pan size 13x6x4cm 2
Bake at 180°C | 350°F for 25-30 minutes

I just found this channel today, this is only the second video I’ve watched from you, but I find the quiet, but methodical videos fascinating and yet extremely peaceful. I can’t really put my finger on why I’m so enthralled by them, although it does REALLY remind me of my mother, and watching her cook when I was very young, well, except for the quietness of the videos, as I was the youngest of 5 children. I made this and it's first time I tried cakes with peanut butter, it's heavenly. The portion is slightly small though so I am gonna to increase the portion by additional 1/3. Thank you for the wonderful recipe.

I think the butter and egg are little separated like oil and water separated , but surprised that the cake turns out great ! Normally baking butter based pound cake , the key step is to emission the butter and egg. Thank you !

Actually, a little bit of separation of the butter doesn't affect the final product. The batter gets homogenized while baking.

@@isratkhan7318 hmmm, that is probably not true. A successful pound cake need to make the batter reaching the consistency before adding flour. You can pre add some flour to help the oil water separation issue, but before adding the full amount of flour, if the butter is watery, the texture will be not right. I have proved this many many times!! but, we can always to adjust the butter egg temperature to avoid it. Also, as long as the cake is tasty, it is a delicious cake!!!
