New Yorkers need to be demanding accountability. The tax waste and corruption to even pull this hit off should be concern.

Peanut was an innocent and loving animal. Killing this squirrel was an act of cold hearted cruelty.
@kizzume3 ай бұрын
Yeah, I was really taken aback by it. Apparently someone got bit by the squirrel, so the authorities wanted to see if it had rabies, and there's no way to check for rabies except post mortem. That's their excuse anyway. Just awful all around. Someone had to have reported that he had a squirrel to authorities, and whoever that was is just awful.

I didn't know some one was bitten and I'll look for more information )) I know the little squirrel i raised was really like a little puppy. Squirrels do bite though, and it's highly possible that my personal feelings may have overloaded logical thinking. If i'm wrong I'll admit it )) Thanks Kizzume :)

@@MississippiWildlifeyes, the reported an employee’s hand was bitten by the squirrel when being removed. Which just shows how incompetent these employees are. Why wouldn’t you put on heavy gloves when forcefully removing someone’s pet from its home?
@HartSickle3 ай бұрын
Lol nah the bite happened during the raid when they seized him. They raided him for pretty much no reason. Some Karen saw the social media stuff and reported that animals were being exploited for personal gain. This was their response. Used the bite as an excuse to euthanize

Nah seriously, did they simply get away with this unjustifiable murder? Surely there has to be some consequences? 😞

Peanut was living his best life until the government murdered him.

In what world is having a squirrel probable cause enough to warrant a raid?

😢yeah I saw this on news. Sad that this happened. No hope for humanity when we kill animals for no reason.

i am really sorry to hear that, an imstitution doing such monstruosity, it s a shame

Remember folks, when you rescue and care for helpless animals, keep it a secret. Trust no one. And if you know someone doing this and rat on them, you're as bad as the murderers of Peanut.

Who or what complained about the Squirrel? More than likely a Karen, or a complaint of Karens They have a tendency of being scared of things that you couldn't possibly be scared of.
@MississippiWildlife3 ай бұрын
I've raised a few tree rats. I don't understand the complaint unless the animal gets loose and bites someone. I can understand a raccoon getting aggressive , I know squirrels can get really mean at times. I think I'm relying on a personal experience , but I'm not convinced yet that a squirrel outright attacked someone. Possible , yes. I'll need proof. and i still miss my little squirel

I seen someone saying that it was some "karen" calling it in cause she/he was jelous of the ammounts of subscribers/views Peanut pulled. That should be taken with a grain of salt however, as there is hard to confirm that.

I had to turn in two baby squrriels I rescued to my province or they would fine me and take them by force...they were probably put down. It's illegal where I live to own wildlife. If kept as a pet it would be seized and euthanized because it "can't be released once owned as a pet" and if you try to raise them yourself for release the animal only has a 20-40% chance of survival even coming out of a rehab center with very large enclosures and minimal human contact. At least this is the information they told me before taking away mine. Apparently even feeding neighbourhood squrriels can be a death sentence to their future generations

ffs There are plenty of places who would have taken those animals in.

Squirrels, mice, very rarely been found to have rabies. I don't think we're being told the entire story of what's going on.

Man y'all are crazy. 1. Squirrels do not live very long lives in the wild, some up to only 6 years. 2. Squirrels CANNOT BE DOMESTICATED. They are wild animals that are meant to live and die, in the wild. Had this squirrel been put down in the middle of Central park, it would have BOLTED like a natural wild animal. 3. You are encouraging/romanticizing the captivity of wild animals. Are they cute? YES. Does that mean they can be taken home? NO. 4. No hate towards you all, but if you really like squirrels, then consider putting out a nut/seed dispenser in your yard, or just plop a bunch of acorns near a tree. That would probably make FREE and WILD squirrels very happy.

Lol, Trump barely even knew what stuff like NATO was, when he was in office, what the hell does he know about this subject? He dident solve shit the last time u had him, he wont solve shit now either. You Americans need more options to vote for , not just Blue and Red. Neither Trump or Harris will save you.
