All these gems from their first album. This was such a new sound for the time (as far as popular music goes), and we were never the same. Loved that they played this on Unplugged as it was such a cool, different sounding song from Ten.

Yep, there are songs I continually revisit. I was in my 20’s during the 90’s and to this day I can’t get enough of Black Unplugged. Watching PJ perform (MTV) takes the music to another level. It is fun to see you get swept up by this phenomenal band. Cheers

I feel like that to. It's something that just draws you in and you keep listening till your obsessed and you learn every lyric and are singing along. I love watching you react to PJ. PJ and Tool are my favorite bands tied for first place for different reasons. I Hope you dive into some of their songs that people don't react to. Maybe they try and they are getting blocked, I don't know but everyone does the same few popular hits that doesn't even scratch the surface of how incredible their discography is. If you read this I'm recommending In My Tree or Red Mosquito to mention a couple but there is so many. I'm gonna shut up now. Lol. Love all you reactions. I love that your real and you don't make the video about you. I watch so many reaction channels it's crazy but you are one my favs. Keep up the great content.

Aw thank you, that means so much to me! I'm glad to hear you're the same way..their music really does suck you in! 😊 I'll have to listen to Tool. I don't really know much by them. 🤔 I will add those to the list - hopefully they won't get blocked! I know the lead singer (I think, if I remember right) is quite particular on how his music is listened to so I guess time will tell! 😅

Eddy Vedder was a gas station attendant when he met Bert who was already a musician. in a year. Eddy and Pearl Jam's success skyrocketed and Eddy wrote this song to his fiancée, promising her that she was the only one. They married two years later.

BEAUTIFUL REACTION NIKKI!! WASN'T THAT BEAUTIFUL? I GO BACK TO PEARL JAM'S MTV UNPLUGGED ALL THE TIME. STATE LOVE AND TRUST IS THE LAST ONE. IT'S ALSO AMAZING HE WEARING HIS BACKWARDS HAT ON THAT ONE TOO! EDDIE IS A GORGEOUS MAN AND HUMAN BEING STILL IS TODAY 2024. SUGGESTION: THE SONG IS "RELEASE" 1992 IN HOLLAND A VERY EMOTIONAL PERFORMANCE!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR PEARL JAM REACTIONS! I HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL CHILLED WEEK. THANK YOU NIKKI. 😊💓🔥🤘✌️

I do the specific section or line or word thing too, Nikki! Sometimes the singer just hits a sweet spot for my ear with a word choice or inflection that my brain just decides is the coolest thing it’s ever heard but with no specific reason for why that’s the case! I hope that happens to everyone else too, it’s a cool feeling- like finding a hidden diamond in a safe full of gold, it’s like “ how did it just get even better in that one little part right there?!?” 😂

I think maybe higher register is what you were trying to say. The Warning Black Holes and Breathe live at Pepsi Center are must hear songs. Both are Pau on grand Piano with a strings section on stage in front of 8k people. Truly breath taking performance.

Loving your reactions! Ok, from this era you have to do "Release" (live from Holland, '92 -- it is perfect), "State of Love and Trust" (MTV Unplugged) and "Porch" (Pinkpop '92 for some classic old Eddie stage antics), but then you absolutely need to move on to "Daughter", "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town", "Go", "Corduroy", "Rearviewmirror", "Immortality", "The Long Road", "I Got ID", "Given to Fly"... there's so much more. You've only cracked the surface really.

I wonder why only Pearl Jam's debut album 'Ten' gets all the attention for reactions... I know it's their biggest record - and iconic 90's 'grunge' rock album at 13x platinum sales in the US... alongside Nirvana's 'Nevermind' (10x platinum in the US) ... Soundgarden's 'Superunknown' (6x platinum) and Alice in Chains' 'Dirt' (5x platinum) ... but Pearl Jam has 12 studio albums to date; plenty of other records to choose songs from... So, more Pearl Jam songs besides the 'Ten' album: 'Given to fly' ... 'Last kiss' (Wayne Cochran cover) ... 'Evacuation' ... 'Wishlist' ... 'Life wasted' ... 'Immortality' ... 'The Fixer'...

Yeah, Oceans is beautiful and so different to all the other songs on the album 10. As for getting obsessed with a song and a particular part of a song, god theres so many so I'll just stick to Pearl Jam. Their song Rearviewmirror and the ending in particular is flawless to me, I'll never get tired of it. One of their faster paced Rock songs but so good.

Great song! As incredible as Eddie's performance is on Black Unplugged, I'm kinda obsessed with the doo-doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doos (weird, huh?). I used to be obsessed with the meaning of Don McLean's American Pie lyrics, all 8 1/2 minutes of it, but there's been so much written about it that I'm over that. This was another good one, Nikki! 🔥🙌

If you listen or watch the full version of unplugged Eddie mentions that this is "a little love song I wrote about my surfboard." KZbin doesn't do these songs justice with all the terrible compression. Get a FLAC file or an actual CD to hear how much better it sounds if you enjoy it.
