PJ kills the song with that interlude in the chorus. When you sing "everything has chains, absolutely nothing's changed" with the guitars roaring and Eddie giving it all, it us just orgasmic!

@@cheerfulsoulph That’s because of Dave Abbruzzese. VS & Vitalogy were their 2 Great Albums, and those are The 2 Albums he was on. That’s NO COINCIDENCE. They LOST their Grittiness when They FIRED Dave. Dave gave them a MESSY-LIVE feel that’s difficult to capture in The Studio. Dave was able to do it. The Rolling Stones did it with Sticky Fingers & Exile on Main Street, & Pearl Jam did it with VS & Vitalogy. It’s all about The Drumming.

One of my biggest regrets is not getting to see them in concert. Who knows if or when that'll be a thing again. I've loved them since I was probably 13 or so and really getting a chance to explore music on my own for the first time. Hearing Ten for the first time was everything to me. I maybe couldn't understand fully everything I was listening to, but I could *feel* it. They hold a special place in my heart, if not actually making up a part of that heart itself with their music and lyrics... which is probably why I found myself here now. Comfort in trying times.
