Eddie really nails this... his vocal range is similar and you got to have that grit to pull it off. Im touched. One of my all time favorites from the who. Pete songwriting is just so high above caliber i think that Heaven was still to bend an ear. Roger was just like a siren being called back to the sea when i saw him perform it. Glad to see pearl jam honor the who in this fashion means we have come full circle❤ ❤❤

Starting off with what I feel was without question the greatest song Pete Townshend ever composed. I know "Fooled Again" & "Pinball" were more popular, and "Generation," more representative of the band in its early years, but "Love Reign On Me" is one of the most beautiful songs ever composed by any musician in any style of music. It transcends all musical forms and styles. It's like Rock N' Roll's version of "Beethoven's 5th." Especially the bridge section.

Covering The Who takes balls - big brass ones! Pearl Jam pulled it off admirably. I listened to "Quadrophenia" every day for months and later bought another copy to make sure I always had a good copy (ditto for "Who's Next" and "Live at Leeds"). Hearing Pearl Jam's covers evoked the same feelings I felt 48 years ago. Thank you! "I just can't explain why this uneasy feeling is here in my brain"

I gladly worked overtime at night, by myself in my office space, just me, my coffee and cigarettes, and very loud Pearl Jam on my Boom Box/CD Player. In the distant future, someone will approach an elderly, classically-trained violist who enjoyed a storied career. (S)he will be asked of her/his greatest, fondest memory. The interviewer will prompt, "Was it Carnegie? The Berlin Philharmonic?" The great violinist waves off both. "No... no. In 2008, I was in a classical ensemble that for 10 minutes backed Pearl Jam the night they absolutely nailed a tribute to The Who."
