These amps are amazing. I own a Vypyr 30w and 120w 2x12 tube. Of course there is always room for evolving your tone. But, I found a tone I'm happy with on the Vypyr. I don't even want an Axe-Fx anymore either because of how good of a tone you can get out of these amps. It also can "djent" very well. Hopefully, they do an adaptation in the future, making the Vypyr a cheaper multi-effects processor version of the Axe-Fx.

I have this amp the key with the high gain amps is. More mids, pull out some of the highs n blend in the lows with less gain. It does sound good at low volume a know issue is rattles at higher volumes so if u can aim for volumes between 1-3 n add a nosie gate to clean up unwanted buzzing . Even a modern amp will have issues an if it's under 200 there could b a list of 'issues'. If u can find one local buy it an remember how you EQ one amp Sim might not work for the next one u try. Just try what I said . More metal!🎸
