I really really felt Mikey when he was talking about you make a goal to get there then you get there and feel nothing. It's like the old saying "it's the journey not the destination" Wish I'd have learned this before going to sprint marathons. What a powerful addition in all positive ways. I remember all the weight cuts I made in high school wrestling practices in trashbags under hoodies sleeping in trash bags and coveralls spitting all day during class only a cup of ice for dinner the night before my parents hated it and my dad would cook deer tenderloin and fried potatoes on the nights before a match and tempt me with my favorite foods we where just kids but we made weight and won it was probably bad for my growing boddy but I learned what will power and dedication is and I still draw inspiration from that today I'm learning lessons now in jiu-jitsu just like I did wrestling as a kid you can do alot when you learn the power or your own will

Awesome to see him climbing! I always thought climbing was great for BJJ (particularly GI) for a few reasons: 1) Grip strength: climbers have mind bogglingly insane grip strength. 2) Nothing I've ever done requires more upper body muscular endurance than climbing (particularly bouldering). 3) As Mikey says himself, the problem solving aspect is not unlike that in BJJ.

Increases head/humidity in a small space. Helps to get more water out of the water in a short time. Hotels rooms are perfect for it since they usually have one and the bathrooms can be sealed off to make a quick sauna/steam room.

Any chance of Mikey or someone else doing a breakdown of the finals match. I felt like watching 2 chess masters going at it. It was high level and interesting but I had no idea what was going on. I caught the submission attempts but the stalling calls for the body triangle and when the guy in blue seemed like he was just waiting out the clock but he was down on points, I couldn't figure out what he was trying to do and why nothing seemed to be going on.

I don't understand the diet choices. Carb loading is one thing... but nutrient density in food is something I would also look for.. pasta is basically empty carbs. Quinoa for example has all 9 essential amino acids. If you ate quinoa with some ghee for good fat you would be infinitely better off. Or if you mix a grain with a legume you also achieve all 9 essential amino acids for building a protein... so like some brown or wild rice, and some black beans, again with some ghee melted in... simple... still carb loading... but achieving nutrient density as well with amino acids and healthy fats. add like a couple cans of tuna in and a green smoothie.

As a person of Italian American heritage from jersey (my grandparents are from the first ward in Newark). I can attest to the power of the pizza and pasta diet. I literally ate pizza every night for a few years. I think it helps my depression and I am also skinny af so if your trying to lose weight it actually works haha. And Mikey needs a sponsorship with the pizza oven company he uses. Frigging kid made me buy a 400$ pizza oven the other night. 😂
