Pound had no reason to die. And since he is somekind of mirror of Oda as bad father figure, Oda wouln't have kill his himself-like. Pound's not adressed to regular readers but to his children. That's why he had such a development and Bege-Chiffon-Pound mini-story isn't over yet. On the other hand, Pedro had to die and these 12 minutes are the perfect explanation. He belongs to another era and despite Luffy was his Roger-like, he knew since the beginning he would die there. He wasn't sad about that and so we souldn't be. He chose his own death and gave it a purpose, and so we should accept it and not be waiting for him to come back. That's a lot of disrespect to everything he was.

It's a bittersweet one, but we find ourselves wondering if it's worth it dying trying to help someone we love, even though they won't even know. Sultschiem Pero will play a big rule in wano. + if you combined sanji’s and Zoro’s bounties they won’t surpass him he is not weak. And he made shields before the bomb exploded and still lose his arm. The idea that Roger never even lifted a finger is so ridiculous that I could totally see it happen. We've never seen him do anything combat wise in any flashbacks beyond "not give up". And honestly, if Roger turned out to be just a guy without any particularly strong powers that would just make him even more bad ass. That just sheer force of will, happy go lucky behavior and a desire to change the world would cause him to become the most fearsome pirate in existence. We know Garp fought "him" but was it actually him or just his crew?

Everyone hated that perospero was alive but well Pedro did what he wanted to do, be the nox that gives way to the dawn. And as he said straw hats will have a big impact to the world as they're the "dawn" that everyone is looking for. Everytime they help a country or people, they talk about freedom, sun, dawn and many more. So just as Pedro wanted to be, he's the night that gives way to the dawn which he literally did. He sacrificed the "night" because he's no longer needed so that the dawn could make their way to the world. also notice how most time the battles are in the night or in the dark or when straw hats finally complete and leave, it's the dawn that's rising
