Sculpting a custom piece of furniture

I figured it was about time I introduced myself. This is my first time talking to the camera so bear with me. It’s going to take a bit more practice until I feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
This Hall Table is made from Walnut and Brass.
The sliding dovetails were certainly a time-consuming part of the build but a necessary step with a design such as this one.
It’s important to note that the legs were also bolted onto the dovetailed frame to ensure its stability. The dovetails alone are not enough to secure the legs. The front bolt (shown at the end of the video) is screwed into the threaded insert located at the front of the leg. There is another bolt and threaded insert positioned at the back of the leg and frame. The hole in the frame has been elongated to help with expansion and contraction.
It may look like there is a lot of wasted material in this piece, but each off cut has been saved and either used as a new section in this hall table or has been set aside for future projects.
I’ve glued the brass shadow line to the walnut top with a simple construction adhesive that specifically bonds wood and metals. This adhesive will allow some movement of the wood while also keeping a good bond to the brass. I used epoxy to glue the brass handle to the drawer fronts.
Ive sprayed the Brass with spray on lacquer.

I grew up in a cabinet-making environment myself, and am just starting my own woodshop in my early 40s as a hobby shop. Your work is inspiring, and your video skills are on point. They clearly communicate many of the design decisions you make in your projects. The ends/legs with the grain matching had me questioning the strength of the piece, until you cut the dovetails. When you cut the matching pieces, it all made sense. You found your calling in life early, and the work you do is stunning. Thank you for introducing yourself. Hi, you are really an artist. My grandfather, 50 years ago, knew how to make hand-made dovetail joints with a chisel and saw. He had no money for machinery and had a carpentry workshop where he did everything by himself and by hand. He was very good and I still have wooden furniture made by him.

I have been watching BlackTail's work and was blown away by how beautiful wood can be.
