DaVinci Resolve | How to make a Perfect Zoom In Transition | Scale In Transition

In this video I will show you how to make a zoom in transition on DaVinci Resolve as well as the ways I would improve it. Though repositioning, time remapping, twixtoring, and adding effects like black bars and blurs I was able to make what I believe is the perfect scale in transition.

I am currently working on an edit and the original video has black borders on top and the bottom and applying the zoom transition makes the borders expand which doesnt look nice. Any idea how I can apply the transition while maintaining the black borders? Appreciate your help!

the only way to maintain the bars is to put them there yourself, you should get rid of them honestly (shown here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZncq4OAjpyth6s ) and then put the put bars: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2m3YaV6bbVsbqM

Even when i use 1080p clips zooming in kinda makes it a little blurry (noticeable) so should i use higher pixel clips

If you can you should, as long as the long parts of your clips stay below the zoom level of 1.5 you should be fine tho

The length of the compound clip is limited by the largest length of footage within in it. If a clip inside a compound clip is 1 second long, the maximum length of the compound clip is 1 second, if you increase the length of the footage inside the compound clip from 1 second to 2 seconds then the maximum length of the compound clip is now 2 seconds. I hope this helps a bit
