White Post Farm is a great day out with the kiddos if you're out north of the city, and right on the doorstep of Sherwood Forest. There's also Stonebridge City Farm a few minutes from the city centre. Small but cute, possibly worth a diversion if you can time it to coincide with an event at Sneinton Market

23.40 Suffolk Punch. Not tallest of heavy horses, but BIG!!! I used to meet some locals out riding, my horse wasn't small (heavyweight Irish Draught cob), but as we got closer and closer they just seemed to be of a different scale even though only a few inches taller than my horse. Lovely horses.

Looks like you has a faboulous time and you are becoming quite the Brit ‘If its not raining, its good’ thats the spirit 🤣 rabbit eared sheep are Leicesters the young heavy horse was almost certainly a Clydesdale - that patch roan is quite a common colour for them. and Matthew rocks the Weatherman vibe 😂 👍

This video popped up and seeing it was Nottinghamshire I decided to watch. This show-ground is just up the road from me as I am a local . Takes us ten minutes. We often used to take groups of school children to the show when they had it on a Friday and Saturday which was a wonderful trip out for us all. I loved your video showing different features of the show. I also watched the farm shop video in North Yorkshire on your way up to Scotland and recognised it as a shop we stopped off at when travelling to Scotland a few years back. It is a wonderful farm shop. You content is great and very interesting and your children are getting a great understanding of the UK countryside.

Hi Mac, the David Brown 1200 and the Massey Ferguson 165 were brand new and state-of-the -art when I started work on the farm in Nottinghamshire. Are you trying to make me feel old? The horse is a Percheron, the French heavy horse breed. Nice video.
