Peeling Garlic in your Thermomix - two methods

In this video, I show the two methods of peeling garlic in your Thermomix - one using the Blade Cover/Peeler and the other using the Whisk. Both very effective and such time savers! Hope it helps.

I’ve just ordered a TM6 and am particularly keen to use it to peel garlic: A couple of weeks ago I bought 6 heads of garlic because .I wanted to try making a garlic confit. Well, after struggling to peel a couple of heads I gave up the idea of garlic confit.😀 BTW, your effervescent personality made the video clip immensely enjoyable, as well as informative of course. Can you zest a lemon or a lime using the peeler function? Could you demonstrate this?

Hi Gary - great question. I wouldn't recommend it as you need to add water to the function and it wouldn't be very nice zest.
