The reason he ate a rib is because it’s one of only very few foods Ren can eat and he has to be sure to eat at certain times, due to his ongoing medical issues. He made a reel about a day in the life in Toronto (?) undergoing treatment and it gives a good sense for what it’s like (intense!). I’m not sure if that’s the video where he explains his diet’s super restricted, to like meat and some veggies I think, but anyway - in the food realm I think he’d consider most of us to be the ones living it up!
