Busking street performances usually also involves a hat or guitar case open for crowd/passers by/audience to voluntarily contribute tips or donations to the artist/performer to show their appreciation of the performance (not just a free street performance a bit of both, performance to promote themselves but individual generous donations are welcome - not begging)

@@jakecharlie9574Definitely this, we're putting up with things that shouldn't be this way, absolutely. But I think it also speaks about something bigger, like things we have no control over that are just part of life. Seperation, tragedy, death, chronic illnesses, negative but natural and human emotions. Because we ARE humans. And grief, and anger, and all the unpleasant emotions will never go away, it's one side of the coin of being human. But at the same time, hope, and love, and compassion, that's the other face of the coin. And denying and trying to muffle the bad things while trying to seek eternal happiness is futile, it's impossible. Like he says, it's a pendulum. Happiness doesn't stay, but so does sadness. You need to learn how to ride the waves, to dance the dance. Trying to seek that endless happiness will just make you miserable because its not attainable. It's an imperfect life. But "that's what separates us from angels, from demons, from gods". We're 'just' humans, vulnerable and weak to temptation and suffering, but because we're humans, we can get through it.

Beautifully put. Is he also blowing up on the US, coz I had not heard of him before I Ren was tweeted out by Sinéad O'Connor, which I saw only after she just died, probebly bc of her mental health and the death of her son. That dies a lot to a person like her and it doesn't even have to be suicide, just burned up, weird we still don't know what actually happened, it's been months now! Anyway, love Ren, his message, his videos, which are an experience of their own and all the other music he made, some with Chinchilla, who I now know bc of Ren and l❤her lyrics, how she presents herself, a tough bitch 😅 Take em, take em take em down, esp when I'm watching Trump spiraling now he's on trial and could loose all his money, that really tickles me 😅Ren even rapped abt him. He tore our country apart, so it's bittersweet, but love to see that family go down, down, down❣️❣️❣️🤗🤗🤗🤭 Just ordered his sick boi Keychain 😘💋💋💋💋💋

"Hi Ren" was the first song I have ever heard from Ren also and that was only about 3 weeks ago. I absolutely fell in love with his music. Literally right after my friend showed me his music video I was on my phone looking him up. The amount of range, creativity, passion, and truth he puts out in his music gives me goosebumps every time I listen to one of his songs. Ren jumped to number one on my music playlist after just hearing him that first time and I've been listening to his music almost daily just adding more and more songs I find by him. I'm totally looking forward to seeing Ren succeed. Music has been one thing to help him through all of the unthinkable struggles he has had to overcome in his life. Physical, mental, and emotional pain and suffering that most people never have to go thru or at least not to the extent he has had to endure. It definitely shows his strength because I know for a fact that most people would never survive if they had to endure even a fraction of what he has overcome in his life so far. Ren you are a true inspiration and you bring it out in such a unique way. Just keep doing what you love and everything else will fall into place for you. You have come such a long way and have overcome obstacles I can't even fathom. I love you, I love your music, you are my new favorite artist and I can't wait to see what else you come up with. I am looking forward to seeing how far you go because with your talents and your drive and how you refuse to never give up no matter what you're gonna go where most only ever dream of.

I just came across REN a couple weeks ago. The first video was “Sick boy” which hit me in the feels as I have been living with 24/7 migraines since returning from Afghanistan in ‘07. “Hi Ren” was the second experience I had, it was much more than just a video. I was enthralled with the music, the drama, theatrics and his overall composition. All of it was mind blowing. What an absolute amazing performer, such a refreshing gift when it seems like the industry is lacking of individuality.
@mEgA_riLed Жыл бұрын
Agreed. Hope you are able to get the migraines dwindled down - this is a long shot but I tamed the migraine beast (along with some other trauma induced medical issues) via the elimination diet…. which ultimately turned into a carnivore diet (eating liver and red meat only, plus water and lots of salt) for about 3 months. I’m sure you’ve tried everything but I was desperate and this made the difference between being incapable of walking to the mailbox to being fully functional again.

@@akmartinez419I suffer from hormonally triggered migraines and was extremely worried about going to basic so I started researching ways to stop them. I read that we store trauma in our joints and that visiting a chiropractor could help. I did so and holy shit man I was migraine free for 6mths then they started again and the Navy put me on pherocet, midrin, cafergot... Which caused rebound headaches so I was puking in pain more days than not. Imitrex has been the only med that works for me. I can literally get my blood vessels opening. Ive fantasized about taking a drill to my temple to release these pressure it has hurt so bad. Best of luck Hun I pray you find what works for you.

A new study has come out saying green light really helps. It took chronic migraine sufferers from about 22 a month down to 2 or 3. You should look it up. It might help. The important thing is that you don't look at ANY screens while you sit in the light. No other line sources. I hope this helps. ❤

Ren’s music is literally all about the human psyche. What it means to be a human. The pain of having mental illnesses and our conscious struggling against our mind, and I think that’s a beautiful thing. His music is basically about being human with flaws and all, and we shouldn’t be ashamed of those things. It’s what makes us who we are. He’s trying to get us to understand, to remember that we’re human and not mindless robots. His music is very deep and I relate to a lot of his songs in so many ways. Literally all of them I can relate to things that have happened in my own life. What a genius of an artist in our age. He won’t be forgotten.

I’m almost 60 🤓 I recognise some of his videos as Brighton, and he might live there, it’s a cool little seaside town, popular hipster trendy cool, and lots of young people. Nick Cave lived there for a while too, he would be on the London train sometimes. Nick Cave, a regular on a train reading newspapers, very unexpected, I saw him once. 😀 Ren is from Anglesey, an island off of Wales. He’s also wearing our NHS hospital gown, so I knew he was from here, and I have only just found him! He’s blown me away, an amazing talent.

Personally I consider Ren a "changeling" singer; one who can adapt to many pieces/genres of music. This should be a new category of artist. He is totally amazing and I was hooked with Hi Ren and went down the Ren rabbit-hole that blew my mind with what performance was.

I love that we are getting more Ren first reactions. Should do a new song you haven't heard though each time. Rens got some bangers like hold on, love music 3, life is funny all double time rap songs.

Life is funny has one of my favourite Ren bars "say my name say name, bang like Kurt Cobain, reached nirvana on a spiritual plane"

Hi Ren showcases everything he is & everything he can do ( multiple genres, great voice, rap, guitar, word play, story telling etc ). So it's actually a perfect intro. Also, BP is now doing intro's using Hi Ren , Losing It & the busking stuff, as well as just ones like this.

ya know what i love. is that all my life from the first cool j song i heard. to the tom donalds blowin up the scene. the moment everyone hears there first bar they are changed for ever. ever since the rap began we all knew it was here to stay . i love how weve broken down the racial boundries a long ass time ago naturally but the media still tries to divide us but so long ago we put that behind us. we obviously jock yall syle and clean ass clothes and yall be vibin off what we be doing just as much!! it really beautiful that humans one job is just to love

#BlackPegasus hope your little girl doing ok, I'm a Mom (Mum) I feel for your road. My son was born with an eye defect call 'Marcus Gunn Jaw Winking Syndrome", his eyelid goes up and down with jaw movement. Apparently it's a rare genetic disorder. No cure. But it's something you can live with.

I love this. I sent this as a link to my best friends and got a "wow" and "nice" reaction, but didn't get to see them experience Ren. I don't even know if they sat still and watched it for the full experience I wanted them to have. These "I love this and want to share it with my mates" reactions you're doing are very welcome and poignant.

"The pendulum is slowing I'm swinging and I'm swaying but I don't know where I'm going" is dope since it connects to Ren's monologue at the end of Hi Ren

BP you're a great host for the lads you bring out and you're doing some quality stuff with helping put Ren's stuff out there for the world to see, Ren goes above just music and it's so important in this day and age that people see what a REAL performance looks like. Thanks for being you man, don't change, keep grinding and when I'm 40 I hope I can bring at least 10% of the happiness into this world that you bring. Stay strong lad
