Great advice, cool spiders.. I hadn't considered that their greatest trick "rejuvenation by moulting" could be quite that precarious, I'd seen some die from a problem when moulting but hadn't seen them in a defective state as a result... Now I know. Thanks Beasties!

Hello Dave and Camera Lady. I hope this finds you both well. What an interesting spider! I think it would be a bit frustrating to have such a lovely creature and never get to see her. You said they are slow growers. How long does it take them to reach their full size? Also, what do you feed them at this stage? Your package is on the way. I shipped it last Friday. Thanks again for the lovely video. Stay safe and take care. Good night 😴 🌒🥱💖❤️

I have a king baboon. I was so scared rehousing her but she is so much sweeter than most of my new worlds. All my tarantulas belonged to my daughter who unfortunately passed away last February. My fear actually turned into loving and caring for them. She held her king baboon, as it's actually out quite often, and the reputation about them is so wrong on the internet. Very cool tarantulas I'm originally from N.Ireland living in Las Vegas. Love your videos

I need to re-house mine,i have a juvie since a sling nearly 2 years old now and it's really rusty orange, beautiful colour, about 2+ inchs now and always been kept in a square small container, gave it a water bowl when it was younger but always buried it so i took it out and just sprayed the whole time,it's very healthy and plump now so i think a molt is pending soon. mine i get to see quite a bit as the substrate isn't deep, like yours was in a large sling pot and it's thrived..beautiful species but quite spicy attitude lol

Thats very sad , sometimes its difficult to work out what went wrong , I would suggest maybe your spider had something wrong with it to start with as they are generally very hardy and can deal with a lot , for iy to die in a few weeks it probably wasn't anything you have done 👍

I just bought a king baboon and rehoused it from a small criter keep to a bigger enclosure and added a bigger water dish for it. What I noticed it's docile and won't leave it's original enclosure and have to force it to move. I use zoo med aboral enclosures for boworal species. A update on my T.Vagans finally got her permanent house. On my baboon species I use 9 inches of substrate and they do well and are very calm. My h.gigas is very visible and will go in it's borrow when it feels threatened. I love both the colors of the king and h.gigas. these 2 tarantulas I recommend to someone who doesn't want a obt.
