Sexual abuse from a spiritual leader, a painful, long pregnancy due to uterine fibroids, trauma in the birth of my son, then a messed up hysterectomy that damaged my left ureter and a repair surgery that followed- resulted in chronic inflammation, infection and interstitial cystitis. I’ve been totally exhausted for years and can barely function now. Daily pelvic and bladder pain can be horrendous. This meditation just opened my eyes to what’s going on. I know that healing is possible and I believe it has begun. I did not realize how unsafe I feel deep inside. I will work on this now. Thank you for taking the time to post this meditation. 💕

Absolutely 10/10. I didnt know how badly I needed that. What a soothing voice and well chosen words. Wow. EDIT : Im back after a few months away. Thought id listen again. When it came to the kegal i always avoid them cause i have trouble with a tight floor down therecso think tightening it wont help and also they make me feel really really quesey, almost sick. Well today i did it not expecting the reverse part.....I burst into tears. Ive had years of therapy over 20 years and many doctors visits. So much hypnotherapy and apps and that has NEVER happened. To say it was a breakthrough... thank you sooo much for doing this. ❤

I’m sure women or men listening to this meditation have already seen a pelvic physiotherapist but if you haven’t please go if your symptoms continue. I had one visit and she diagnosed where my problem is. She did 1 treatment and I’m at least 60 -70 percent improved. It’s still intermittent but can feel the improvement and now have faith this is going to go. My creative energy has already returned. My back pain has improved 80 percent. Don’t underestimate the lack of stability and grounding you don’t have when your pelvic floor is not right.

You are so welcome Julia. Relaxation techniques like this can be used up to twice a day when things are painful or if you are going through a stressful time. But then during more of a maintenance phase, when things are going well for you, once a week is plenty. It really depends on you and how you're feeling. I'm glad it was a powerful experience for you.

Have you ever come across anybody with Levator Ani syndrome, I have 2/3 spasms daily that can last an hour a time, this has definitely helped thank you. I was wondering is there anything else you may know I could do to help X
@GenerationCalm4 жыл бұрын
No I haven't, but, my goodness, that sounds painful! There are some physical therapist's who specialise in pelvic floor conditions such as Levator Ani Syndrome. They are often the professionals who are best placed to help. However, practising to release the muscles in this area may help to decrease the muscle spams.
@fabritzeo4 жыл бұрын
@@GenerationCalm thank you for the reply I’ll keep up with the meditation it does really seem to help and I’ll look into finding a pelvic floor therapist
@canoegirl63353 жыл бұрын
I suffered from Ic and a physio so I’m very aware of levator ani syndrome. It’s terribly painful. I highly recommend Amy Stein’s ‘ healing pelvic pain’ book. She has excellent tips and stretches as well. Also check your piriformis and obturator internus/externus muscles. These work in tandem with the levator ani, causing bladder/anal pain. You might might need to see a pelvic floor specialist who can internally release the muscle. It’s not a super comfortable treatment but it works wonders! This video with deep diaphragmatic breathing and conscious breathing at releasing the anal sphincter will definitely help too.

Can this heal prolapse ? :(
@GenerationCalm3 жыл бұрын
I don't believe there is research on this, except that guided imagery helped prolapse recovery after surgery. But relaxation, like this meditation, will help to relax the muscles (when we tense up with stress it's hard for your muscles to relax), keep a positive mindset and ease some of the symptoms. I certainly hope it will help you

This was so amazing thank you! Any advice on how often we should do this to start seeing results in releasing our pelvic floor tension fully x
@GenerationCalm4 жыл бұрын
I wish I had an exact answer for you, but listening to your body will give you a more accurate response. Like with many things, you'll see an accumulation of results with time and practice. Once you've followed along with the meditation a couple of times and gotten used to it, you could practice the lowering sensation and breathing 3-4 times a day for 5 minutes at a time and probably get quicker results than if you do the full 20 minute meditation once a week.

My experience is I have to do something like this daily or multiple times a day.
@FortheBudgies Жыл бұрын
Doing kegels can cause a lot of pain if you have a pelvic floor that does not relax. This was relaxing in general but did not give guidance on how to let go of contracted pelvic for muscles. If I could just let go and have them relax I wouldn't need a guided breath work!

That's frustrating ... it's important to check out new symptoms with your doctor. But urinary frequency can be related to pelvic floor in men and women.
