The GPS is for the head unit's internal GPS if you want to use it.. personally... since I'll be using Apple Car Play, I'll use Google Maps or Apple Maps for my navigation... but it doesn't hurt to install these antennas anyway

Hi bro, I also got the CCC android unit. Now I used this (CCC android unit)about 6 years. But some times this device will steal power and cause the car's system to display a power leakage. Over time, the system will overheat(CCC android unit), leading to a crash, resulting in the screen becoming unresponsive.

My aux doesn’t work for some reason, the wording on the factory settings is grey and I’m not able to select it. Meanwhile the FM, AM, and CD options are white in which I am able to select

I wouldn’t have to retake out the stereo and all that since I’ve already connected an aux cord through to the little storage box in between the drivers and passenger side.

I’ve never needed the activator so whatever is shown in the activator video is all you should need to do. Wireless carplay works fine so you don’t need usb

Why did you need to take the lower panels/control unit off? I think you just need to undo the hex screws and swap the screen out. What am I missing?

My screen recently started saying no signal when I try to go back to the original bmw car info. The issue started after I swapped car batteries and I’m wondering if it’s possible that the fuse that goes up to the screen got blown? ( 4:27) I swapped the fuse where the volume/dvd player is and it still shows a no signal screen.

I doubt that the head units fits perfectly on the dashboard without cutting the dashboard. How much of the dasboard you've cut?

This is a e60, not a e90. E90 models required cutting dash.

@@cs.studios yes, i know it's a E60. I own one (facelift). I thought cutting dash is a must. Anyway, i bought also (from a different seller) this type of android navigation, and it works great. The only thing which i don't like, is that nothing appears on the screen when i press the climate control buttons. Same thing with the parking sensors button.if i switch to the OEM system, they work fine. Any sugestions?

Hi, unfortunately I am not sure. Your best bet would be to contact pemp and see what they say. Alternatively you can disassemble your setup and check to see if the wiring looks just like mine. The screen itself works without idrive but you need a working aux input for audio

You need aux because it plays through aux. only other way around is to have an external amp going to the speakers
