Appreciate the reaction bro!! I think this collab works so well because in flames uses some electronic sounds in their own music anyways.

Pendulum is my favorite electronic music band of all time. Their musical subgenre is called Drum&Bass but they often combined it with a lot of different ones, like Rock. Their whole discography is awesome, imo. I recommend you to react to some of their best songs (for me), like "Witchcraft" , "Propane Nightmares" , "Crush", "Showdown" , "Watercolour", "The Fountain", "The Island part 1" and "The Tempest" . I think you could like them a lot. 😉

Their in the same kinda genre as celldweller, the qemists and ect they are a future rock band, which is the combination of rock and drum and bass and electronic styles of music, and having Rob swire as the lead singer is just the icing on the cake

Drum & Bass + Metal would do well to collab more often.

Back in the day, I was only listening to TOOL and Deftones, and friends were listening to Pendulum. As per the norm I thought I was too good for the norm (typical TOOL fan) but then I heard this. This changed me, and a fandom for Pendulum started within me. There are better bands and songs out there, probably, but this song will always be in my top 3 “adrenaline boost” songs. This is an energetic masterpiece, and I’m really happy to hear and see someone else reacting to it. Big love

I love this song SO much. The sound is VERY In Flames (one of my all-time favourite bands), but also VERY Pendulum... and they meld together SO well 🤤

I know I'm like 2 years late to this and I'm sorry 💀 but you should listen to some other songs. They aren't metal, they mostly do Drum and Bass which I always took as stupid (I am in fact a metalhead my whole life) but after listening to this whole album, I shifted completely 180. If there is a DnB album that changes a metalheads mind it's THIS aka Immersion by Pendulum. They use actual instruments to create their music but also some seriously good ambience, themes, even lyrics and song structure. People are generally especially fond of the song Witchcraft, if you only wanted to pick one from the album (besides Self vs Self which is way more metalish).
