I have been depressed for a long time, but after taking shrooms few months ago, l feel much happier and highly motivated and my ADHD gone , lost a ton of anxiousness and had a few epiphanies about how I should live my life. I decided to buy an ounce for backup, but haven’t yet felt the need to take any more since then.

6:50 - Wish my dad would listen to that, he is one of those guys who says he can have an espresso and go to sleep, I've told him that it might be true but he is not getting real quality, deep sleep. Unfortunately not only he has never listened to me, he is extremely biased against psychedelics so I can't refer this video to him. This is great, thanks for sharing, Mike Pollan's interesting insight about the responsible, medically supervised therapeutic use of psychedelics.

At 06:05.. re; 'if you study for a test', and 'coffee _after'._ I can't help but ask.. Simply, where it seems to lead right off(?) First was easy enough.. Might having it before/during the studying' also be 'as helpful? If not, that leads to 'the second. ..And I'll really like this if does. 🙃 'Caffeine ..specifically working in a 'post (meaning 'after..) application? Yes?

If a psycadelic drug is not habit forming than a psycitrist giving a single dose of said substance under controled conditions to help somone with severe issues should be legal if its more likely to help than to harm

For anyone having a bad trip I have three tips. 1. Sit in a lotus position 2. Try to sing. 3. If you're afraid think of something Holy. Angels,Jesus, Gaia.

I know somebody who regularly takes magic mushrooms. She looks a mess, talks a lot of nonsense, slurs her words, and her brain and reactions are slow. But she thinks she's found the key to the universe, and everybody should take them. Her life is not enviable. Sometimes we think one thing, but the actual reality is different.
@jonstewart464
@jonstewart464 2 жыл бұрын
@@phily8093 The cause of her problems, if you report them accurately, are extremely unlikely to be the mushrooms. She may have problems, she may take mushrooms, but you need good reasons before you can decide whether one caused the other. There's a whole scientific literature out there on psychedelics, the results are in: they're safe.

@@jonstewart464 I did report them accurately. I know her. I see what she does and how they affect her. You don't. Nothing is "safe". Life is not "safe". People abuse things, and they get abused back. You only know what you've seen, read and want to believe. I could find many articles to the contrary.

@@phily8093 Scientific knowledge is not subjective. There is a systematic method for gathering and evaluating evidence. In your single case, you need understand what else is going on with this lady and the timecourse of her symptoms. Does she drink? Other medications? General and mental health history? Your conclusion is at odds with the systematic clinical evidence. Try to find some peer reviewed research showing neurological damage caused by psilocybin and if you can, see how it stacks up against the rest of the literature.

Psychedelics are a fascinating and complex topic, often regarded as a potential 'holy grail' that could lead us on a transformative journey - much like the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly. There is speculation that, under certain conditions, these substances may help heal deep-seated traumas and unconscious, often 'dark' aspects of personality within the context of an optimal set & setting. My question is: How does the use of psychedelics affect individuals with a latent predisposition to psychosis or schizophrenia? What is the likelihood of a psychotic episode being triggered during a trip, and is it possible to identify such risk factors in advance? This issue is often overlooked, despite its significant risks. What scientific insights and perspectives can you share on this matter ?

Disgusting all this is tested on animals who have no say in the matter. What does it have to do with humans. Humans interventions and drugs should be tested on humans. If not 'ethical' for humans thwn its not ethical to be done on animals either!!!

Testing psychedelics on animals is nothing compared to all the man-made products tested on them. Have you ever used soap, shampoo, medicine, diapers, condoms, toilet paper??? Guess what? All tested on animals, and they caused a LOT more suffering than psychedelics.
