True story: I once took a job listing from a “merchant out of town” who needed me to deliver some packages for him, which eventually grew into a job where I’d be selling said packages or trading them in and getting a cut of the money. A few months later, three policemen knocked on my door as I was about to leave for college and seized all my electronics and took me into the station. Turned out everything I was selling had been stolen, but the crazy part was that the money was being used to fund a local terrorist sect. Thankfully I had all the receipts and message history, so worked with them and gave any evidence. Still didn’t get my phone or laptop back for months though as they were going through digital forensics. Which was a nightmare as I was doing a media degree at college.

@Drinker_Of_ Milk well the thing is normal people don’t torture the animals before killing them, that’s totally inhumane. plus torturing animals is an early sign of a serial killer
@dollface86512 жыл бұрын
@Drinker_Of_ Milk yes it is because torturing an innocent animal and killing it is one of the worst things a person can do. you probably wouldn’t be saying this stuff if it was a human but just because it’s an animal it has less value right? i also hope you’re not implying that because we torture cows/pigs/chickens for food somebody shouldn’t be charged for torturing cats/dogs.
@killerkodiakk12712 жыл бұрын
@Drinker_Of_ Milk Yes that is worth 28 years that asshole should die in there actually. And it's not inconsistent, there's just a hierarchy when it comes to animals that are important to the human race emotionally. Killing farm animals is supposed to be done in a quick, easy, and humane way that doesn't cause the animals to suffer, not to mention its done for food. Slaughterhouses that do not kill their animals this way are typically investigated and shut down. In the case of hunting it is not only necessary due to population control, but it is also, again, most often done in a quick and humane way. Doing it by hand is usually just an unfortunate circumstance as a result of people not knowing wtf they're doing. Torturing and killing dogs, cats, horses, rodents, reptiles, and any animals typically kept as pets doesn't benefit anyone and is cruel and inhumane. (Unfortunately reptiles are very overlooked when it comes to animals that deal with abuse but they tend to get the worst of it :/ )

"Animal cruelty crimes get off easy" (not exactly word for word what you said but yeah). Went to court for possession of marijuana before legal in my state. I had a bunch of people before me to be given a sentence by the judge. One was there for animal cruelty and got a slap on the wrist. Even the shop lifter got a lighter sentence than me and him. The shop lifter had to pay like a $200 fine. For having a gram of weed I had to do 6 months of TASC (random weekly drug testing). But the "fun" thing is that I was so nervous about peeing with somebody looking so I would overhydrate every time. To guarantee I had to pee. The thing that was awful about that is the place was an hour away and the wait in line can be anywhere from 5 min to like almost an hour. One time I got stuck in traffic and swear my bladder was about to blow up. And when you are overhydrated they think you are trying to hide something so you get another 6 months of TASC as a punishment. It's fucking bullshit. Dude I'm just pee shy leave me alone. My first time at TASC I overfilled my bladder so much I accidentally peed on the bottle they give you. So being courteous I put the cap on then washed it off. Apparently that's a huge "no-no" and he was like "I might have to write you up with a violation". Bitch its my first day and I was trying to be courteous so you don't get piss on your gloves and table. And every month of TASC is like ~100.

Near where I'm from, there was this guy named Tim Bosma who posted his truck on Craigslist to be sold, he took the prospective buyer for a drive, and was murdered. The killers were a rich guy (Dellen Millard, if you are interested) and his goon. The rich guy is pretty much a psychopath and manipulator and it is now believed that they murdered at least one other person (a woman they knew), and it's possible he has buried the remains of people on his property. There's actually a name for that, "shaken baby syndrome," I believe and it's not that uncommon unfortunately. How anyone can look a baby in the eyes and think it's okay to violently shake them just to get them to quiet down is beyond me. It's twisted and sick. It doesn't even make sense that that would work, because even if it didn't hurt the baby, it would only make them more upset. I feel so bad for that kid and hopefully the babysitter is serving a long sentence for what she did.

That is obviously true of course, but I feel like it distracts from the animals rights. There are a lot of people who torture animals but nothing comes of it because they're recognized as property. *Trigger warning* I have animal abuser relatives that still function in society because they haven't committed crimes against humans. These people torture kittens for fun and fill their dogs with bullets when they're tired of feeding them. They can't run away and they can't cry for help. It probably sounds wrong to most people, but it disgusts me even more than child abuse because of how defenseless they are. So what I'm trying to say is that I'm sick of always fucking hearing "animal abuse is a bad sign because they could turn into a murderer" shit. I just wish people would recognize that animals aren't disposable objects, they feel pain.

I see what you mean, you want people to not only recognize animal abuse because it can be attached to the abuse of humans, and instead just recognize animal abuse because its harming animals.
@eligma43992 жыл бұрын
@@lampylightbulb yeah just to clarify, I never meant that abuse towards children was fine. Coming from someone who has been abused, molested, and witnessed animal abuse I can say that in my case I had the ability to escape, defend myself, confide in others, and ask for help. So yeah, both are bad, but targeting a child and targeting an animal are both pathetic in different ways. When someone tortures an animal they see it like a demented experiment or a game.

my old neighbor shot a 6 month old cat that I was feeding and thought it was funny and lied to animal control saying it was because the cat scratched her daughter when that wasn't why the cat was shot. He was shot bc she thought it was funny literally posted on fb about it saying "one shot to the head lmao". Since I was feeding him for a certain amount of time it was considered my cat and since the cat didn't have a rabies shot, the old neighbor who animal control wanted in trouble for what she did, could have sued me because the cat didn't have his rabies shot. Crazy how that works! She didn't get in trouble at all and what she did was a felony here in VA now. "Podcat" survived thanks to the spca but did lose an eye. Unfortunately he did get hit by a car a few months later. :(

Coming from a recovering poly addict, the dog killer deserves more especially since the drugs probably enhanced the pleasurable feeling from that deep dark desire he was feeding from his entire life. Just because im in recovery doesn't mean I'm justifying drug use. Every hard drug user I knew/know don't want to harm animals or hurt people, they're only hurting themselves which we know we do. Ive only met a couple possible killers through the drug world who couldn't get off without hurting someone or something and I always did something about it. @@ReizokoRyu look at prison in any county with a low crime rate. Its focused on rehabilitation. Anyone can be helped. Anyone can learn to be better. Disagree all you want but the proof is already there. Any prison that focuses on rehabilitation rather than just locking someone in a cage has a lower return rate than other prisons. Just because you think someone is incapable of being saved doesn't mean they are. There's always a reason behind something. People who do the r word/SA have history of either being r worded or SA'd people who become violent tend to have a past of being physically abused. Im not saying there's an excuse for what they done. Im saying help is always an option.

@SleepDealer without diagnosis of a mental illness absolutely. If they're diagnosed with violent schizophrenia or even how some bi polar issues can be so severe people just snap and harm. If the person is of sound mind. They've been through the rehabilitation process and they still decide out of sound mind to continue to commit crimes and harm others the punishment should be more severe yes.
