Honestly, horrors of this story aside, the fact that he believed it would work for a second as an alibi despite how unusual and suspicious a chat-less stream is in the first place, how awkwardly acted his "technical issues" were, how many evidence he sloppily left behind, and especially how he kept a full proof of his forgery on his computer makes this whole charade sad. He must absolutely have felt like a genius while putting his plan together, but it's the most predictable outcome you could come up with with that kind of setup and anyone with a tiny bit of technical knowledge could immediately disprove that alibi completely. He could have not bothered with the whole livestream part in the first place and he would have had a better chance at getting away with it ; I guess in the end it's almost a good thing he put so much effort into incriminating himself, if you ignore how messed up attempting to implicate his own viewers into his crime is.

Well an stream as alibi isnt that impossible. But i guess it needs a shitton of planning, and exact skript. First take a game where you cant tab out properly, because it would bug out. Any old game. Stream it for some time. And i mean like weeks. Then destroy your second monitor "accidentally" while livestreaming. Order a new one live. Choose one with a bit of delivery time, i mean you will use it as your new main screen so why not choose a good one. The two weeks with only one monitor are fine, you can read chat on your phone, right? Now we get to the core. Record a "livestream". Interact with one or two chat messages in the beginning, maybe another one 20 minutes in. Say how sad you are, but apparently the phone didnt properly charge, due to a faulty usb cable. So no more reading chat on phone. After all that recording, play it on livestream. Send the messages you interact with on the video yourself, with a second account. And you are free to go. Destroy the USB-Stick completely. Not in the microwave, one can proove that you destroyed electronics in there. But just to be clear: I dont think that would work. For so many reasons. You will still be seen. Im sure twitch can find out whether it was prerecorded or live, by some technical data like framerate and how stable that was, the source of the stream or whatever. NEver streamed so idk. And the second acc you interacted with on stream will eventually be traced back to you. So yeah, better, but still wont really work But still, this dude is completely stupid and did it the most retarded way.

When I first saw this, I was absolutely horrified. I had watched his videos ever since I was 9 years old. His videos were a massive part of my KZbin childhood. I’m a massive Doctor Who fan who loved the toys but could never get a hold of many because of their price, so how I could experience & see the toys I didn’t have was by looking at figure reviews & stop motion videos with the toys. His videos were a massive part in that. It was through his videos I got to see the toys I wanted so much in detail. It wasn’t just that though. I was introduced to Robot Wars by his channel, I watched all his big review videos on TV & film, and his yearly fan movies which I found so funny & entertaining as a child. Yes as I grew up, I did grow away from his videos. When you get older, one tends to not care much about toys & cheesy fan movies anymore. But I still checked in every now & than, checking out what he thought of the new Doctor Who episode, what new thing he had in his collection, and when he actually appeared on Robot Wars a few years back, I was so happy for him. But now all those childhood memories are now sour & foul & feel gross to even think about. To think that someone I admired, liked & supported was someone who was capable of doing all of this is just so disgusting! To murder someone who was 15 weeks pregnant, to spy on the family afterwards, to continue uploading videos as if nothing had changed, to fake a livestream beforehand & to leave small sadistic comments & jokes all over it that hint to what he was going to do, it’s absolutely horrific & inhumane! My heart goes out to the family of Natalie, their friends & everyone else effected by it. I hope justice prevails and that all those hurt by this get some form of peace. R.I.P

I feel sickened that I was ever in the process of starting collabs with this guy. Maybe moving to England was a blessing in disguise as its the only reason I never carried on to do so with Stephen. Even now I can't bring myself to remove him from Facebook having known him these years, just so's I can have the satisfaction of hearing the end of the case and his words to validate my disappointment in a man I would have called a friend.

I met Stephen irl at a small event once, we existed in the same KZbin circle (Robot Wars/Battlebots) and he even appeared on one of the tv shows. Safe to say the community was rocked by the news as he was for us one of the biggest creators so to see he could do something so heinous was chilling. I had a feeling when it went out that you'd cover it. What happened to Natalie is still hard to fully process but I truly hope justice is swift and brutal, for everything the friends and family he has put through and for Natalie herself.

I assume the vast majority of people here never heard of this guy before, and for me the majority of these ‘horrible KZbinrs jailed’ situations weren’t channels I personally watched, at least very thoroughly. This guy’s channel however was the first one of those situations that truly hit me because I’m a Doctor Who fan and loved watching his reviews of science fiction toys, props and episodes ever since I was about 10 years old. He wasn’t my most watched KZbinr but I still came back to his videos quite regularly over the years, so imaginably this time I came back to a complete shock. This is now the most real example for me of never trusting anyone on the internet, crazy how the seemingly nicest and most down-to-Earth people can turn out sometimes.
