All famous people need to do is make stuff that "saves people lives" through their music, movies, whatever and people will forgive the most heinous shit. Chris Brown is one of the biggest pieces of shit in entertainment and yet still has millions of fans and that's after he never apologized for any of the shit he has done. I get that people want to be grateful to artists that helped them through a dark period in their lives with those artists's art, but there has to be a limit.

@@okagron See your denying that Chris brown has apologized and doesn't regret his actions as a young man he has. BUt he will always be a woman beater to you and everyone that doesn't believe that he has the human ability to percieve guilt. he's not torey lanez trying to convince people that Megan lied. bla bla bla. He was 17 with a lot of power, money and access. But hes not in denial of his actions. it was a mistake was it not? And have we ever seen him do that again? he did apologize and he served 5 years of prohibation. But you want to say hes this biggest piece of shit and has millions of fans. Theres a reason abusers havent fizzeled out of society entirely. Because commiting an individual act of abuse and being a repeat offender are different things. You have way to small of a scope of what music is to understand how dwarved and unpopular chris brown is ultimately compared to his peers of his time and most artists now. Chris brown and big sean have stains attached to their names. IT doesn't mean the music is 100% bad to everyone and it doesn't mean other people especially women who have been abused see the things he has done and understand he has grown. Out of anyone why chris? your jealous of chris cause you know he still has years in his prime. You don't say R kelly even though he did infinitely worse because yOU have some grudge with chris cause an ex of yours got wetter around any of his media or something. Im not in defense of chris brown entirely but i do enjoy picking apart your shitty fucking unbased statement that is straight out of 2011 where you think hes some insane artist. NO mother fucker. Hes doiung the same shiit Sugar ray has. They make some new stuff but honstly they are trapped in their best songs from different times. Yk how badly BIg sean and Chris brown features tend to perform. Not very, becuase its not him. Most people only get chris brown through features. Its a very select small cgroup that goes towards his music. But ultimately, most people don't hit up either of those 2. They avoid them like the plague. Like go call justin gay or something old man.

It’s funny because the person isn’t really wrong. Most people aren’t following Ezra Miller stuff, and most that heard something about it probably would forget. But then when you go do an interview and actually say “people will forget” that just creates a situation in which people will be reminded of it (or hear about it for the first time) because it’s now a story that’s going to get coverage, which means they most likely aren’t going to forget now.

Of all the people in the world to play the Flash, one of the most beloved characters in DC for numerous reasons with one of the biggest being the fact that he's meant to represent the pinnacle of hope and good will in almost any version he appears in, so much so that in a few versions he's even seen and spoken to as a friend by almost everyone in his hometown, Ezra is one of the last people I wanna see play the Flash enough, but the idea that someone is using it to advertise the movie that it's so good it will all be forgotten, if anything, just makes me lose all faith in anyone at DC being able to make humanely competent decisions.
@thr333stars

That's actually interesting point to think about. Because comic book characters are fictional, you can be sure that you can look up to them and not worry about them being bad people, very great thing to learn for young adults and everyone else actually, idolise fictional good because it is inherently good, don't idolise real people like they are some kind of higher human being, real means morally gray

It's not really DC's fault, though, since they have so little input regarding the films. It's why, I believe, the DC films are such a mess compared to Marvel's (collectively speaking). @@thr333stars (EDIT: Assuming I'm not misunderstanding your point, if I am, apologies) I understand that, normally, being able to separate art from artist and all, but this is a known asshole and repeat offender DC, of all companies, could easily find a replacement for, and Flash is one of those few heroes in comics or even media in general whose characteristics I honestly feel should be honored in regards to actors, particularly live action ones, who portray him. They don't need to be some kind of saint, but it should be someone who's not liable to abuse their status as a celebrity and one who will actually give a shit and be a good example for anyone younger who may look up to the Flash as a character, as many do, and the fans that come with it, an example I feel DC themselves should put their foot down and set. Also, I am willing to admit a tad of bias on my own part, as while I wasn't big into DC growing up, Flash is one of the few DC big boys who caught my eye, and to see this character portrayed by a repeat aggressor in physical assault cases and alleged groomer is all kinds of fucked up, in a show alone, but an entire movie? The disregard for Ezra's victims and people who've had to deal with him that was in the post in this video kinda gets at what I'm trying to get at; that Ezra is one of the last people that should be portraying such a well-liked character, and any celebrity status gained from him by his role is likely to be abused and DC, again, is allowing this guy to be associated with their brand when they of all people could find someone else.

This is a slam dunk really. Anytime he gets charged with a crime from now on he can just wheel a TV into the court room and play The Flash. By the end of the movie they'll all have forgotten what he's done!

The funny thing is that it's not just producers, Funko made a "scene" Pop where he's catching babies. And it wasn't recalled. It's out in the wide world to make people uncomfortably laugh. It's blatant disregard for everything he did, all for the sake of desperately making back poorly spent Dima-dollars.
