I can think of nothing better than to give this couple a contract for brand new MP show to be aired at the most pivotal prime time slots on all four BBC channels. I’m sure it would be such a huge hit all throughout the UK. These two are so much the reincarnation of Monty Python’s Flying Circus. There's a whole podcast series about this case on audible called I am not Nicholas. My personal highlights: 1. His backstory is straight out of Dickens: poor Irish orphan ran away to London at 14 years old and started selling shit at Picadilly circus. 2. The journalist hosting the podcast loses her shit at him in his own home once she figures out he's actually Nicholas. 3. His wife was actively calling the states and trying to organise memorial services for Nicholas. 4. Even as Arthur, he hired an attorney and started hosting press conferences insisting that Nicholas was innocent 😂
@hastur-thekinginyellow8115 Жыл бұрын
His backstory is literally "I was an orphan who ran away to join the circus?" Second question which I'm actually interested in; is his wife in on it, some woman in Scotland that he told the full story to, gave the "but I'm not that man anymore" line, and she's just completely in on it? Or is she just the most oblivious woman in Britain? EDIT: Third question - podcast name?

I visited the same ward this man was in without knowing who he was at the time. When a relative of mine was very ill in December 2021, they were rushed to the hospital where they were put under constant care. Doctors were not hopeful he would make it at all. It was a scary time and we didn’t know if he was going to live. (Thankfully he did pull through and move down into a less dependent ward, later coming home). It was only made worse with the limited 2 per visit for the day. To be fair to them- the doctors and nursing staff were a bit more lenient with the number of visitors in allowing us what they thought were his final few days, returning to two visitors when he was recovering etc. During these strict Covid restrictions we were baffled to see police consistently by the bed side of one patient. Another family member of mine later discovered this man was ‘Arthur Knight’ as it was broadcast on National news regarding his stay at the hospital- and how his identity was being called into question. In an interview he claimed he was a very innocent and ill man suffering from severe health difficulties. Weirds me out he was this close to people actually suffering and fighting for life. When I think of him and then of my relative in that hospital ( who was suffering from severe respiratory difficulties among other issues), it is clear he a freaking cartoon villain.
