Here in the U.S and even more so in the EU Tobacco products have been crucified in the media (and for good reason), while Alcohol still has a positive media presence and always has since the end of prohibition. If you grow up in a culture that says tobacco is horrible and will kill you, while also giving you ads of people drinking and having fun while drinking, youl obviously glaze over the problems alcohol has.

I worked at Costco for a really long time, nearly a decade, and I worked predominantly in the liquor store. The selection of alcohols changes pretty frequently due to the nature of alcohol frequently suffering shortages, but I don't think I've had a Kirkland alcohol that I thought was bad for the price. Also, last time I went to buy it they were out of spiced rum, and from everything I went through when we were out of any kirkland product, I don't blame any employee for being filled with hate everytime someone asks for a sold out product. People are vile as hell when mildly inconvenienced

As a former Costco employee I cannot confirm nor deny that *Kirkland comes from the same lines as the others with a Kirkland label* Since I shamelessly tossed out that: here’s two more about Costco. They DONT ADVERTISE. They also, from corporate experience and seeing prices, truly don’t make but essentially a dime off of what you buy. Keep your membership if you want to support them, but purchasing things isn’t where they make money, that’s where they save you money. I love the place, if I don’t leave for family reasons I’d still be there today. Great pay and benefits.
