The fact that Netflix reached a way bigger audience than Lifetime could is a clear indication that traditional television is dying.
@ninaschimmel69115 жыл бұрын
A big factor of Netflix's appeal to creators and studios, especially of television, is accessibility on a global scale. I'm from Europe and don't have access to the American networks. So that's why streaming services are reaching a way bigger audience, it's because it opens all this content up for millions who couldn't access it before (at least easily).
@spearshake47715 жыл бұрын
@@ninaschimmel6911 Yeah the problem is that really good shows get cancelled because of this. Most of the people who want to watch the show either has to wait for it to reach their tv networks like much later or we have to pirate it online and so the biggest part of the audience doesn't even get to support the show financially and so the tv networks go on how many people see the show on their network directly and if it isn't a high number they decide to cancel the show. At least with Netflix shows made in America can be supported financially by fans all over the world
@ninaschimmel69115 жыл бұрын
@@spearshake4771 Exactly! For me having to pirate a show online that I really liked was always a double edged sword for me. Because I would want to support the show but am not able to, but still want to watch it.
@divestorsingle5 жыл бұрын
Mainly because lifetime is a turn off for the average viewer
@spearshake47715 жыл бұрын
@@divestorsingle Its not just Lifetime. There is this one Sci Fi show which I really love called "The Expanse" and it originally was on Syfy but Syfy cancelled it because it wasn't raking in enough viewers. Trouble was a lot of the fans were from outside the US and so they could only pirate the show and couldn't watch it on their own tv. Then Amazon bought the Expanse and so far its been doing a lot better. Old tv is gonna die off in this decade and if not this decade then definitely in the next. Its gonna become as redundant as a radio

I think why You became a hit to viewers was because the storyline was fresh. Even tho you can search up a hundred stalker/killer series, Joe's character was someone you felt you need to understand and sympathize with. It challenges viewers.

Penn criticized his Charakter but come on you earn millions and you’ve got audienc that adores that show what do you want more? They just need logical ideas to keep going. What I really liked so far about you is the scenes wich joe every time escapes when he goes into a Dangerous occasion to search for a evidence. For my joe is an intelligent bastard.
