“Constitutionally unhappy” truly is the best way to describe JOE.... Moral decay aside, just judging him as a character: the man has been violently desperate for a partner for years, and looked straight in the eyes of an equally yolked woman who was the perfect reflection of him... and hated it!

Penn has the weirdest face ever. There was one episode of Season 2 that he was mistaken for John Meyer...he did look like him. On closer inspection, he could look like Roger Federer. When he has a full grown beard and long hair, he looks like an Indian bloke...or perhaps Middle Eastern. What a chameleon!

As someone who lived in Hollywood for twenty years, and Los Angeles for a total of twenty five years, the shows representation of LA was exaggerated but definitely had aspects of the truth.Obviously not everyone who lives here is self absorbed and shallow but a lot of people who live here can definitely fall under that category and other ones they mentioned. It was definitely funny watching how the show illustrated it.

5:03 - 5:30 is so true Take the music industry for example. Back in the day, you had different movements happening in different parts of America, let alone the world. We had grunge music coming out of Seattle, gritty rap coming from the boroughs of New York, ska punk coming from Long Beach, alternative rock bands from LA, country from Tennessee, I mean the list goes on and on. Just having different communities creating, decentralize the power and spread it, it always benefits art and entertainment. Of course nowadays its 10x harder cause of the internet and how connected we are at all times, you can get influence from everywhere. I think the main problem is the big corporations putting money behind entertainment are so money hungry that they don't take risks, they just put money behind trends and things "that will work". Now apply this like how he said, to the film industry...hmm...

8 and a half minutes of hard hitting questions: white male privilege, Hollywood power struggle, activism, being in the 1%... kind of overwhelming for an actor who is there to talk about an entertainment show and also hasnt built his platform on activism. He is just a conscious individual in that clouded America it seems. No need to push him to be a voice of social justice. That's a little too personal and you know how irrational viral fans are so I get his hesitance to speak directly. It became hard to watch after 4 mins...

@SarahsDalyLife 4 жыл бұрын
@@CrybabeBB activist as a celeb in 2009 and activist in 2020 the landscapes are diff. There are fans who listen to 2 words and take irrational decisive action or people who "cancel" you because something is taken out of context. He is an activist because of his beliefs but shouldnt be subjected to be a voice of reason in an interview being caught off guard... context is important. Also his views may not reflect those of the show creators, producers etc so being you have to be aware of your context (business interview)
