I have the Penn Battle 4 , I've had it for about a year and they truly are great reels. I have yet to catch a big fish, but I'm sure it will do the job. Thanks for doing this video so I have a reference when I am servicing my reel. Thank you for your knowledge.

Dennis, I enjoyed seeing this reel. You know what I miss on a reel like this. Is there any modern reel that still has an AR override? I am having a great deal of pain in my hands that is starting to limit how much time I can spend on reel work. I happen to know that you and I are just about the same age so is there anything you do to keep your hands from getting very tired or being painful? The reason I have so many reels with Gomexus power knobs is because they help my hands with their double ball bearing design that is so ergonomic. They reduce the hand pain from long days of surf fishing. Great video as usual. - Chris

Chris - I'm sorry to hear on your hands. I guess I have just been blessed to this point. There are several reels with the A/R over-ride, but most have been eliminated due to the one way clutch - I will try to get you a list - Best wishes -= Dennis

Morning Dennis: Have you ever used Loctite Blue on the case cover screws? Do you know if Penn uses it, or some other thread sealant, in their factory assembly?

Yes and yes. Several manufacturers use the blue compound straight from the factory. I use it only on request - Thanks for asking - Dennis
