I man can make a difference. Grandpa's "car thing" and more specifically his appriciation for old Corvettes and Camaros has become the family obsession and business. How cool is that?

All in the Family, what could be better than that? Z28 Camaro is a nice find. A friend of mine had a 69 Camaro big block that was fully loaded with an automatic. He wanted me to buy it for 9000 back in early 2000. He was the original owner of the car and I declined. He was so pissed at me too and now I wish I bought that car it was perfect like everything he owned. RIP John, know you are truly missed.

Funny how those old bias play tires develop flat spots. As soon as I saw the hood bouncing it brought back memories of a car I drove with original tires a few years back. When they heated up they got better, but still sucked. (lol) Those tires were horrible if they sat around for any length of time. Great cars you folks have. Wish I was going to MCACN this year. Have fun.
@TheJagjr445029 күн бұрын
Std practice on a stock 69Z is to swap over to full manifold vacuum and the adv can to a B28. That will get it idling correctly. Then you can worry with adjusting the advance curve if you are going to drive it. May see you at MCACN...

I will two dollars for it today. Three if they deliver it on a trailer. I had one of these back in the day ,not nearly as nice. It was the 305 engine package. Polyglass tires follow the curves in the road. Normal.
@HorsepowerDepotАй бұрын
I’ve been 150 mph on polyglas tires and it been straight as an arrow. These tires are just old!
@danmyers9372Ай бұрын
Back in the day these tires tended to develop flat spots in the fiberglass belts when the car was parked. This would typically go away when the tires warmed up. Unless the car is parked for years like this car then the flat spots would pretty much become permanent.

Calls an original 327 "nothing special". You're spoiled by the cars you have access to.

Very strange the claim that the Z/28 is all original and hasn’t been driven since 1971. From the factory, the top of the cowl was painted body color. On this car it’s painted black. 🤔
@HorsepowerDepot29 күн бұрын
Time to go to school…. So the top of Z28 cowl panels were painted stripe color, not body color. So this car having black stripes got black paint on the top of the cowl panel, white stripes z28s are painted white on top of the cowl! This is on z28s only. All other Camaros are painted body color on top of the cowl. Just another example of how original this car is.
@micahcastillo911329 күн бұрын
@ Um, no, you’re wrong. I’ve owned two 1969 Camaro Z/28’s, one I bought brand new. And both of them were painted body color on top of the cowl. I went to that school I’m betting, probably 40 years before you were born. I just took you back to school. Have a little respect.
@ScotPennington28 күн бұрын
Oh, I'm sorry. You've owned two Z28s in your lifetime? Wow, that's impressive. Do you want to talk about showing respect? Why don't you show some? You don't have 40 years of experience on me doing Camaros. Do you still have your '69 Z28 that you bought new? Maybe you could send pictures of it. It would be cool to see it. Our family has bought and restored way more than two. Or maybe you did have them, but you sold them in the early seventies, and you're wishing you had them back. And you're just going off your memory or things you read in books.
