It's a little less biased that other UK sources, but still heavily biased as news is being taken from Ukraine MOD press releases and western sources. Battlefield update barely commented on what is the biggest battle of the 21st century so far, in Bakhmut. Fails to understand that for Russia at this point it is war of attrition, not territory, which they are winning hands down. Very misleading analysis of losses on both sides.

@@stevefisher1889Dude, that’s such a cope, of course land is important to the Russians, they are just playing it down since they have been preforming so poorly since they haven’t made any real gains since the last two Ukrainian counteroffensives. As for it being a war for attrition, it is not something that is mutually exclusive to any other military objective. But even then, Russia is suffering badly, they are going to do another mobilisation soon to replace all the troops they’ve lost. This is going to be difficult since the last one caused great discontent in the Russian public last time. Meanwhile Ukraine is about to bring to the battlefield the troops that have been training overseas, who will not only now be well trained, but also well equipped. We will have to see how things go, but I’m not holding out hope for further Russian successes.

As I have commented elsewhere in some detail, the question of the arrest of Putin, if he comes to my country, South Africa, is not confined to action by the executive, but could also be the subject of intervention by the Courts. The Rome statute is part of SA law and interested citizens could apply to court for the issue of an arrest warrant. This is in fact what happened in the case of Bashir. Court proceedings were instituted by non-governmental organisations and an arrest warrant was issued. With the connivance of the executive Bashir was smuggled out of the country. I have no doubt that there are many in SA waiting for Putin if he dares to soil our country with his presence.

Honestly, this isn't even the first time an online gamer has tried to win internet points using classified information. There have been multiple cases of people uploading pages from operators manuals for tanks in order to win an argument about whether that tank has been modeled properly in a game.

Yes. For the Amazon Echo (video display). "Find videos by the telegraph on youtube". This will load up the home page and play/ listen to touch selectable videos similar to on a smart phone/ browser. For audio devices only ( dot etc) , a multi step process is also open. Good for listening when doing light housework.

I have read that the Americans used vast numbers of them in the Iraq war and this had led to serve cases of birth defects in the areas where they were used.

@@PurestHarmony I think that’s the least of our worries. Depleted uranium shells are standard for Challanger tanks. More of a concern is the contamination of land by mines. Sappers will have their work cut out for decades and this will be far more damaging than depleted uranium. Saddam was using chemical weapons against his own population and gulf war syndrome was not caused by depleted uranium.

Or like many things military, the error is to err on the side of conservative calls/takes, especially in a long standing policy (8 yrs running) of the west not really having taken the Ukr predicament seriously enough, not arming them nearly enough, and being reactive instead of strategic, and being too carefully docile toward Ru directly, e.g. USa removing naval ships in the year running up to the invasion. So, take the doc's with a lot of sea salt grains. (and Go Navy!)

Isn't the US strategy to keep the Russians in the mindset of being able to win in Ukraine, mainly to prevent a Russian nuclear escalation as effectively as possible? I could be wrong, but I'm sure I've heard this a lot, especially throughout the first months of the war, when Russia used to threaten nukes at least ~5 times a day ... and sure to the fact, the Russians continue to threaten nukes daily, the US strategy might still be the same.
