My admiration for Avi is not only for his voice and his great talent, but for his fidelity to his principles, his beliefs, his heart. In this crazy industry of music and fame, it's hard to stay 100% authentic, and to some extent you are conditioned by this world. Avi sacrificed many things to be able to deliver everything and more to each of us for 6 years, how he was also able to leave everything aside to be faithful to what he needed as a human being. Peace, tranquility and harmony in his life. His departure from Pentatonix left me many lessons. Fight for your dreams, persevere, enjoy the moments that life gives you, and achieve all this without ever losing your essence and staying close to what you love. Pentatonix has a great talent, it is admirable how they make music only with their voices, but I must admit that Avi was the one who caught my attention the day I first met PTX, not only because of his voice, but because of his way of see life, to give off a special aura that radiates peace and tranquility. I speak spanish, so sorry for my mistakes!

To me this just emphasizes the difference in directions between Avi and Pentatonix. Pentatonix is sounding great with Matt in place and heading more toward the pop sound, while Avi is embracing his roots and a more laidback road. Good luck to all of them.

So I'm not sure I should place it here, but I think PTX is now what they always strived to achieve, "just" a band that happens to use their voices only. They are amazing and all, so Avi, but the magic was in the group with the chemistry of their differences. Anyways, my love and anticipation is still here, whatever they will do artistically :)

I have listened and relistened his stuff and I don't care for it. He has gone so downhill in what he is doing. He is just not anyone I'll stream anymore. Sorry but that's how I feel. I've also done some digging into his REAL person and it's not what he puts forth. PTX has moved on and they are still amazing in all they do. He wasn't that hard to replace.

I feel sad that after he left my energy kinda went flat. Don't get me wrong, I still admire Pentatonix because no one can do what they do with their voices, but my spark for them just isn't the same. I wish them all the best especially Matt who had some really big shoes to fill and I hope that the Pentaholic family accept him for his talent and what he is bringing as an individual to the group. Avi will always be my heart...always.

Fay Samuel this same thing happened to me. I stopped caring about the new music they put out. I used to drop everything whenever they released something but now I just glance at it and can’t even be bothered to listen. It’s sad because I loved them so much but now I just can’t get excited about them. I wish them well but I think I’m kind of over PTX now. :(

razrv3lc Totally agree with you, Pentatonix got me into singing and I started singing Avi's parts when I was 14 (4 years ago) and now that hes gone from Pentatonix I just dont get the same feeling when listening to Matt, the amazing tone of Avi's voice can never be replaced. I've purchased Avi's album though and will continue to support Avi until the end of time :)
