Absolutely amazing. Thank you Avi. My father was a strong, silent, strict Finnish man. He rarely showed emotion, unless it was anger, and though he has changed much over the years, he was certainly not known for his ability to entertain. However, on rare occasions, he would pick up my mom's guitar and play like it was his calling. And on even fewer occasions, he would sing. His voice was deep and powerful, and through his songs he would show hints of the emotion my family rarely witnessed. This song, Rising Sun, was one that he sang. Your rendition brought goosebumps to my skin, and took me back to those moments when my father had shared a piece of his heart. Thank you again for singing it. Your voice is a gift brother, and I have always enjoyed hearing it.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and yes, I wholeheartedly agree with your statement, but it is highly unlikely he will see this considering A: This isn't his channel B: Even if it was his channel, I'm more than certain he would have a metric butt-ton of comments complimenting him. Don't get me wrong, you are absolutely right, and I liked what you said. Off topic: Honestly, with Avi, I'm somewhat glad he left PTX... He made PTX Whole, sure, but his voice was hardly ever soloed, and, as he said, he's much happier without all of the stress of schedules and such. To be frank, I just wish him the best. He's a great cover artist, with great looks, and a great personality. We love you, Avi. (Again, he probably isn't reading this so I'm not sure why I said it.)

@@Zale__ No, Avi was completely exhausted from the PTX lifestyle and from the fact that his mothers cancer had come back. When they were touring so hard and dragging the recording studio around with them he would fly home after concerts to be with his mom when she was having surgery and then fly back to do the next concert. They didn't know if she would live. He had just produced that side project of Avriel and the Sequoias before all this happened and it was all just too much. I went to his live shows this summer and he talked about how the weight of it all nearly took him down. His mom posted her thanks to him on twitter about a year later when she was finally recovering. She said she thought people should know.
