Avi's bass is more ground shaking... But Matt sounds more like the actual bass instrument IMO... Both are crazy talented. Loved that! Kirstie DID look fierce !!

This is a cover of the 2018 released "Come Along" by Cosmo Sheldrake. You should listen to the original to see how much they honored it, but also completely changed it.

I think Matt’s voice has matured so much since he joined the group. I remember Avi’s voice back towards the beginning of PTX wasn’t nearly as heavy as it is now, I think that’s quite common with bass voices, they fully mature around your 30s

Matt like all the members of Pentatonix constantly works on his instrument. They all always work with a vocal coach to help them improve and stay in tune. I know they're still Avi fans out there, but I love Matt in this place.

This song was meant and written for the follow up film to tim Burtons "the nightmare before christmas" but it was never made that is why it gave you Alice in wonderland vibes If you really want to enjoy this there is a video on here of them performing this live and the back projection and what they do to it is BRILLIANT please check it out

Hello King Fam. Great reaction. This is one my favourite PTX music videos, they are all so colourful and trendy looking, great vocals, catchy rhythm. They are all superb - Scott with his signature sounds, Kirstie so sweet and sharp, Matt so deep with the bom bom, Kevin with a whole drum set, Mitch singing so smoothly, then taking off into the stratosphere, and coming back down for the lullaby at the end, is just so great.

They sure are different singers, bring their own flare, Avi basso profundo with a lovely soothing voice, Matt low bass with oozing hot chocolate soul tones and a broader range. They used each to perfection. Enjoy each.

You are correct. However, the original is much slower paced. I listened to it and didn't particularly like it. Again, proving that PTX doesn't do covers, they do upgrades.

Great reaction Dennis! I've listened to this cover many times because it is so fun. But you still were showing me highlights that I hadn't noticed enough before now. I think they all really enjoyed the choral vibe of this arrangement so really got into it and had fun with it and it shows! I love these songs where you can tell that they are having a blast while still making their detailed magic.

One thing that no one seems to notice is that Kirsty's eyes are blue. I guess that they have trouble looking up to her face😀. Also, I love how they all use their hands, but I've always thought that Kirsty has wonderfully expressive hands.

I do agree with you about the bass. I have always loved both but i think matt is just younger so his voice is just maturing. I heard that most basses don’t really hit their potential until like their 30’s. So it would make sense that matt is still developing his sound.

If I had to compare, I think in the low bass notes, Avi’s voice was a bit stronger and richer. However, I think Matt does a bit better in the high range of bass and in the baritone range, I also think Matt is a bit better on camera as he has really fun & natural body movements & rhythm, as well as good facial expressions. They are both really talented

This song contains made up words, like slythy toves, from Jabberwocky. It is a nonsense poem written by Lewis Carroll about the killing of a creature named the Jabberwock. It was included in his 1871 novel Through the Looking-Glass, the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865).
