I love the happiness of this song, and yes they attack it with glee. The visuals with the members in B&W, with the washes of color, transforming into full color, fit this song so well. Apparently they had been singing it on tour before that was shut down. There are quite a few thoughts out there by people who know the group far better than I do of what was going on in their lives. Coming back from breakups, to finding one's true self, and the joy of letting go of the sadness, despair, anger, and guilt and letting yourself be unashamedly happy at this moment. That is a strong statement, and one we all can use in our lives now. As Laura Cottom said in an earlier comment, you should check out Rise, with Superfruit and friends. Mitch and Scott, with three other artists as well just blow the roof off the place with their amazing vocals. All in memory of the shooting in the Orlando bar a few years ago. The vocals in it are truly amazing, coming from SF as well as Brian Justin Crum, Mary Lambert and Mario Jose. It is an anthem, an acclimation, of strength, showing that people will Rise, above the hatred, killing (49 that evening) along with the physical and mental harm to so many.

And yes I hear some of those vocals too.....but if you really listen....you hear Little Drummer Boy harmonies too all throughout!

Great Reaction, Love your enthusiasm. To me this song is a result of a time that you lose someone, and in the beginning you become a ghost of your self (Mitch in the white Shear) but you finally move on, and as you are starting to ask, is it ok to be happy now, (when the color starts to break through) and then you finally break through and you allow yourself to be Happy Now, me, myself and I. This is a strong and loving song! I have lost 2 loves through my life and each time I have held on to missing them, and I did not realize I was still holding onto the hurt until this song, and it allowed me to let it go, and start back on my road to being Happy Now

This song is amazing. They way they take you through the grieving process of wanting to be happy and live a full life again but feeling guilty about doing it without their loved one. I think that is why Mitch is wearing the “ghostly “ sheet in the beginning then the small bursts of color / happiness as the flower / emotions bloom again. Just a stunning song at the end Mitch is dancing behind them as a lost love one is always with you. The whole song and video is so well done

Hey Brad, I think we have a similar style of songwriting. I'd love if you'd listen to my recently released song at this link, and if it's up your alley I'd love to collaborate and write a song together. I've been itching to co-write something with someone, and I love your voice and your style.

@@codymarrott5720 I am over it I really like Matt he's a wonderful singer with wonderful happy attitude, and I think he fits in really well with the group they seem to be really happy and carefree around him! I was explaining what I think the meaning of the song is? I truly think this song is a reflection of how they felt then and how they are feeling now! It has been said they are entering a new season and a new era of music yet are at peace with their past and where they've been and come from! I think that is why they used the couches at the end of the video was a tribute and not to their humble beginnings! I really appreciate the imagery 😊
